Chapter 17
While Teia was reviewing the report, Louis, who had been waiting, sensed something odd.
Glancing around, he realized that the office was unusually quiet.
Had he adapted this much in just a few days?
Normally, the Grand Duke’s pet rabbit would either be crunching on dried apples or scurrying around, but today it was oddly silent.
The door to the rabbit’s hutch was wide open as usual.
The Grand Duke preferred to leave it open when he was present, believing the rabbit provided emotional comfort.
Right next to the entrance of the hutch, on a fluffy cushion, was the rabbit’s designated spot.
Rustle rustle.
The rabbit was sprawled out on the cushion like melting ice cream, deeply asleep without a care in the world.
If not for its little plump belly rising and falling gently, one could have mistaken it for being dead, it was so still.
It was human instinct to feel an urge to touch something cute.
Louis gently stroked the rabbit’s soft back with his fingers.
Fwooosh.
With a breathy sigh, the rabbit turned its body toward Louis’s hand. Then, with its tiny front paws, it grabbed onto his finger and began to nibble at it with its mouth.
“Your Highness, it seems the rabbit is… dreaming about eating something delicious…”
Louis trailed off mid-sentence.
The sight of the rabbit nibbling was so adorable he turned toward Teia, a wide smile on his face — only to freeze at the look in Teia’s eyes, which was different from usual.
“Indeed. It’s a very greedy little creature,”
Teia replied with a light smile, just as he normally would.
Yet, for some reason, Louis felt a chill run down his spine, goosebumps prickling his skin.
He instinctively pulled his hand away from the rabbit’s grasp.
Cold sweat, whose cause he couldn’t quite pinpoint, trickled down his back.
“I’ve reviewed the report. You may leave now.”
After politely bowing in response to the order to leave, Louis exited the office, tilting his head repeatedly.
Why? What was strange?
He couldn’t quite put his finger on it, but he was left with an oddly unpleasant feeling. Shivering once, Louis quickly picked up his pace to dutifully carry out his busy tasks as the head attendant.
“I’ll have to retrain it from the beginning.”
And in the office, the only ones remaining were a pet rabbit still sleeping soundly without a care in the world, and a fierce Master, his face twisted in faint displeasure.

Cesar, who had gathered all the items Teia had ordered, hurried toward the office.
Since a confidential conversation was about to take place, he habitually dismissed all the surrounding servants and carefully knocked on the office door.
“Your Highness, it’s Cesar Winter.”
“Come in.”
Cesar, wary not to damage the hard-earned items in his hands, stepped into the office—only to freeze in place at the unexpected sight before him.
Thunk.
Behind Cesar, the heavy door shut with a loud, weighted sound.
“I was wondering when you’d arrive. Your timing is perfect.”
“What’s… going on here?”
A strange woman, wrapped only in white cloth, was kneeling on the soft carpet in the office. Her face, framed by drooping eyebrows, was soaked with tears.
Teia leaned casually against his desk, looking down indifferently at the woman weeping copiously.
A warm blonde tinged with faint pink hues. Shoulders so pale and round that the white cloth could barely conceal them.
Cesar, who had been absentmindedly taking in her appearance, quickly averted his gaze as a thought flashed through his mind.
“Your Highness… is this woman that rabbit?”
“That’s right. Ah, I suppose this is your first time seeing her?”
He had heard about it, but seeing that rabbit turn out to be a person was certainly surprising. Surprising, yes — but even more bewildering was why this so-called rabbit was now kneeling naked, wrapped in cloth, before the Grand Duke, crying so pitifully.
Even though it was Cesar’s first time meeting her, for Lilith — who had often seen him while in rabbit form — his appearance was nothing unusual.
All of Lilith’s attention was focused solely on the wicked Teia, who was looking down at her coldly.
She had been having an incredibly happy dream just moments ago, enjoying her nap without causing any disturbance.
And yet, for some unknown reason, Teia had suddenly gotten angry and grabbed her delicate ear with one hand, shaking her mercilessly.
Waking from the pain that felt like her ear was being torn off, Lilith had been getting scolded by Teia ever since.
Her crime: being too lacking in dignity for something called “the Grand Duke’s pet rabbit.”
“So, what will you do from now on?”
“I won’t suck on anything except Teia’s c**k.”
