For all her boldness earlier, Lilith was the first to collapse.

Humans are supposed to be more rational than beasts, she thought hazily, so why is he worse? Teia’s stamina surpassed even the most primal breeding instincts.

Meanwhile, Teia was busy marveling at how unexpectedly calming she was. Sure, she’d always been a remedy for his headaches, stress, and lust—but now, curled against him, her warmth and the perfect fit of her body in his arms felt like… comfort.

It was almost laughable. He’d never clung to stuffed toys as a child, yet here he was, soothed by a rabbit.

“We’ll get you proper clothes tomorrow.”

“Me? Why?”

“You’re my pet. You’ll make an appearance at the party.”

Ah. Right. A pet. A flicker of disappointment settled in her chest—but the fact that he remembered her at all sent a strange flutter through her.

“A cape-style dress, with lace at the hem. Similar to what you usually wear, but more extravagant.”

His fingers traced the curve of her neck, the dip of her waist. Rabbit clothes were simple enough—she could picture it easily. Then his thumb pressed into the hollow of her collarbone.

“And a brooch. Any preferences?”

The question caught her off guard. Teia always chose her outfits himself. Then again, he owned her, paid for everything—of course he decided.

After a moment of contemplation, Lilith stole a glance at Teia, as if testing the waters. Nestled against him, she squirmed in his arms until she turned to face him fully.

“……?”

Teia arched a brow as she shifted, tightening his grip around her. His firm chest pressed flush against her smooth back—and his still-e***t c**k, trapped between the soft curves of her a*s, throbbed insistently.

“Mmm…”

A drowsy sigh escaped her. Teia buried his face in her hair, lazily grinding his hips to slide his length deeper between her thighs. The friction wasn’t intense, but the warmth was deliciously satisfying.

“Then I’ll go with ruby.”

“Fine. Do as you like.”

“Uh, j-just saying, but if it matches your color, it’ll be obvious who owns me, right?”

“?”

“I-I mean, you could also wear a similar gem or…”

Her logic was sound, so why was she tiptoeing around it? The way she peeked at him—like a guilty puppy—was almost comical. Even if she hadn’t said it, Teia had already planned to coordinate their accessories.

From an aesthetic standpoint, of course—

His train of thought derailed abruptly. A closer look revealed the tips of Lilith’s ears and nape were flushed redder than usual. The corner of his mouth twitched.

“Hmm. My outfit’s handled by a dedicated designer. A pet’s brooch can’t compare.”

“Oh. Okay.”

She pouted. The audacity of a mere pet trying to mark her owner was… oddly endearing.

Feeling mischievous, Teia feigned ignorance and pinched her cheek. His c**k, still wedged between her thighs, pulsed hotly as he rocked into her. The slick slap of skin grew louder, more rhythmic.

Within minutes, a dazed Lilith was clinging to him, tears welling again.

The long-awaited engagement party arrived. Though the event spanned days, the spotlight was reserved for the first and final nights. The castle buzzed with chaos—including one frazzled rabbit, groomed to perfection since dawn.

Draped in a lace-trimmed cape with a ruby brooch at its center, Lilith preened under the servants’ coos. Teia had dressed her himself, and the praise left her practically floating—until the moment they left.

“Try not to embarrass me,” he drawled, smirking as her ears drooped. Nobody could crush her ego faster.

Seizing the chaos, Lilith sneaked into the wardrobe room. Teia’s attire—already prepped—was a far cry from the subdued elegance of the crown prince’s betrothal. Dark fabrics dripped with gilded embellishments, guaranteed to outshine every guest.

Hopping onto a cabinet, she scanned the accessories awaiting their debut. Her target?

Cufflinks!

Her tiny paws froze. There they were—ruby-studded, just as she’d suggested. But not the pair she’d gifted him. These were opulent, obscenely expensive.

The handmade cufflinks she’d given him for his birthday were lovely, but they couldn’t compete with an imperial jeweler’s masterpiece.

She nearly swatted them off the table. Today’s important, she reasoned, forcing her paw down. He needs the fancy ones.

…But he matched the color!

Fluffing up, she leaped down—only to land in a basket of discarded clothes.

Thud!

Fabric swallowed her whole. As she wriggled free, something glinted beneath the pile.

Her cufflinks.

Her heart plummeted.

Why were they here?

Frantic paws dug through the basket, uncovering nothing but wrinkled linens and scraps. This wasn’t storage—it was trash.

Did he… throw them away?

Her nose twitched violently. Maybe her gift had looked pathetic next to his new ones. Maybe he’d been embarrassed.

The thought scalded her.

Squeak.

Tears welled. Anger at Teia warred with shame at her own naivety.

Squeak… Squeak…

Sniffling, she fled the wardrobe—not even noticing her cape had snagged on the basket.

Blindly, she stumbled away, wanting only to escape the crushing weight of her own insignificance.
