“No, Senes didn’t intend to…!”

“A serious crime? Someone might think I’m a resident of this castle if they heard that.”

“Commander, what conditions did you set when you called the hunter to the castle? You said you called a monster hunter to lure and eliminate monsters, right? That if the monster extermination was successful, you would grant the qualification to live in this castle, along with a reward.”

So it was true that they lured him with the promise of accepting him as a castle resident.

“But you know what? There are still many monsters left outside the castle. Extermination is out of the question.”

Senes gestured towards the closed window.

“So I am still an outsider, a monster hunter, not a castle resident or your subordinate, so I don’t need to follow this castle’s rules. Even less reason to follow the orders of you, the commander.”

Although Dienes warned in a low, suppressed voice, Senes snorted and smiled faintly.

I pondered. Should I stop Dienes, or should I stop Senes?
