Curious what happens next? Read more here

As Adrien loosened her grip on Samuel’s shoulder, he slipped in another finger. The pressure built as his touch pressed steadily against a particularly sensitive spot, making Adrien bite her lip and twist involuntarily.

Their eyes met—and Samuel’s faint, teasing smile made her scowl in annoyance, only for him to press that same spot again.

“Ugh…!”

She couldn’t hold back the sound.

But then, Samuel deliberately avoided touching that spot, letting the ache of wanting more build inside her. Frustrated, Adrien let go of his shoulder and covered her eyes with her hand.

“Ensign Samuel.”

“Yes, Commander?”

“…If you don’t want to end up flat on your back again, you’d better stop teasing.”

She was mortified, but that was the most direct demand she could muster, given how inexperienced she was with things like this.

“Understood.”

With a laugh in his voice, Samuel suddenly pressed two fingers deep inside, while his thumb found the sensitive nub above.

“Ah…!”

A sharp wave of pleasure crashed over Adrien. As her eyes flew open, Samuel leaned in and kissed her, swallowing the moan she almost cried out, then started to move.

What began slow and gentle, like gliding across water, soon grew wilder. Adrien clung to Samuel as if she’d drown without him.

He welcomed her desperately, never forgetting to leave kisses over her skin and focusing intently on the places she loved most.

“Wait—hold on, Ensign—”

“Adrien…”

As the pleasure began to curl into something unfamiliar in her stomach, Adrien shook.

“You know, the more worked up we get, the better the guiding is, right?”

“Ensign, but this—!”

“Relax, it’s all right. You can trust me.”

But it was far from all right. The jolt of sensation between her legs was too new and too much; she felt like she was right back on that bed, the very first night she’d ever imprinted with Samuel.

A tidal wave of pleasure washed over her. Adrien grabbed Samuel and trembled, lost in the sharp, unfamiliar bliss until her mind went utterly blank.

Her arm slipped from the sofa, and Samuel gently picked it up and laid it across her chest. As her heart pounded with the fading aftershocks, Samuel trailed kisses across her body and then appeared at her ear.

“Commander, do you want to go again?”

Adrien gave him a look of disbelief.

Gone was the innocent boy she’d pinned beneath her on that first night. Now, there was only this sly, confident man, completely at ease on top of her.

“…I think you’ve learned a few bad habits from me, Ensign Samuel.”

She wondered if her days of sneaking deep kisses under the pretense of ‘just a little guiding’ had turned this once-innocent guide into someone so shameless.

Samuel blinked, then broke into a bright grin.

“Did you really think I was just a naïve kid?”

Before Adrien could retort, he was kissing her again, sweeping her right back into helplessness.

Long afterward, when Samuel finally drew away, he gently wiped Adrien’s swollen lips and smiled down at her.

“But I think you know that’s not true.”

* * *

It had already been five days since Samuel last saw Adrien.

Like a ruminating cow, he kept replaying the image of Adrien gently tickling his chin. But it did nothing to ease the ache of missing her.

The plan to trade fewer meetings for more frequent imprinting had only half succeeded. Adrien had rejected his proposal, but Samuel simply refused to give up.

Every time they kissed, Samuel’s hands inevitably found their way under her clothes. Adrien would act like she was about to push him away, but in the end, the flood of guiding pleasure always made her sigh and give in.

Afterward, their discarded clothes would be scattered under the sofa, and Samuel would joke that they might as well just meet in bed next time.

“No way. That’s my last line of defense, Ensign.”

That line from Adrien, so unusually cute for her, was Samuel’s secret delight. He bit back the urge to say so, knowing it would be far too cheeky coming from a young subordinate.

Whenever they finished, Adrien always checked Samuel’s necklace, worried he might overexert himself since he was lower-ranked than her.

Most days, the guiding meter on his necklace stayed a faint green—but the day it finally flipped over to bright orange, flashing its warning, Adrien’s expression turned uncharacteristically stern.

“You’re to rest for the next four days, Ensign. That’s an order.”

As the Commander’s direct order, Samuel could only nod and accept it—even though he couldn’t quite hide his sulky disappointment.

And what did Adrien do then? She gave him a little tickle under the chin and smiled.

“If the Ensign won’t look after yourself, then I’ll have to do it for you.”

There was no hidden meaning to her words—just the kind of thing a superior would say.

But in that moment, Samuel had to practically clutch his aching heart to keep it from bursting. Ever since that day, he found himself thinking of Adrien more than ever.
