Curious what happens next? Read more here

The sudden, tight clench made Samuel let out a ragged, desperate moan. His hips began to move faster, harder. Every time he thrust deep, Adrien nearly lost control, pressing down on his shoulders before forcing herself to grip the pillow instead.

No matter how worked up she was, Adrien had to avoid grabbing or pinning down her guide. An Esper’s strength could easily injure a normal person, even without meaning to. That was the last bit of reason she had left.

But when Samuel kept hitting the same spot over and over, her mind suddenly went completely blank. A lightning bolt of pleasure shot through her body, and Adrien tensed up, holding her breath as her muscles clamped down around him.

“Ah…!”

That intense stimulation was too much for Samuel too. He shuddered, losing control as he finished deep inside her.

Adrien let herself go limp, soaking in the dreamy afterglow of guiding energy that flooded her. Even after everything, Samuel’s sturdy frame was still there to support her.

“…Ensign, are you okay?”

Hearing his ragged breathing, Adrien quickly lifted her head. Samuel was panting like he’d just sprinted a hundred meters.

Worried it was a sign of guiding depletion, Adrien moved to get up in alarm. But Samuel’s big hand pressed her back down against his chest.

“Ensign!”

“I—I’m fine… really…”

“How can you say that when you’re breathing like this?”

“Just… let me stay like this, just for a moment…”

Suddenly, Adrien realized what he meant: he didn’t just want her on top—he meant they were still joined. When she looked down, she saw that they were still connected. Even after climax, Samuel was still hard, filling her completely.

Almost unconsciously, she realized she was rolling her hips, chasing after the lingering pleasure.

That must be why Samuel’s body was reacting this way.

“No. That’s enough.”

Adrien spoke firmly, pushing herself upright. A guide who’d just imprinted with a much higher-level Esper couldn’t possibly win in a real struggle. When she finally slipped off him, his slick length slid out, sending another jolt through her, but Adrien held herself back.

“Even one round is already pushing it, when you’re imprinted to an Esper more than two levels above. If we keep going, you could really get hurt.”

Samuel bit his lip, disappointment clear on his face. Adrien sighed, then leaned down and kissed him. Samuel’s eyes immediately brightened.

“Don’t do that, you’ll hurt your lips.”

“…I’ll try harder.”

“Try what?”

“Anything you want.”

Adrien waited for him to finish his thought, curious about what he really wanted to say. Samuel averted his eyes.

“I mean… even if you have to take on another guide, I still want to be the one you imprint with.”

“Huh?”

“Even if you assign a gold-level guide as your official partner, I hope you’ll still choose me for your imprint.”

“Of course.”

Adrien replied without hesitation. That casual answer made Samuel’s whole face light up. At the same time, Adrien was thinking something else.

‘If I bring in a higher-level official guide, it’ll be easier to keep imprinting with Samuel.’

She’d secretly taken another guiding suppressant today. For a silver-level guide like Samuel, the imprint could be a huge strain. She never wanted to see him exhausted and bedridden again.

If she had another official guide with decent compatibility, she could avoid burning through Samuel’s guiding energy too quickly, and they could imprint as often as they wanted, not just once…

“…Commander?”

Caught staring at him with those deep eyes, Adrien came to her senses. She quickly slipped off and wrapped herself in the blanket, turning her back to him.

If she stayed any longer, she’d do something reckless.

“Go take a shower, Ensign.”

“…Can’t we shower together?”

“Do you really think that’s a good idea?”

“…Understood.”

Samuel’s voice sounded disappointed, but there was no helping it. Just imagining what might happen if they did shower together was enough to set her body on fire all over again.

When Samuel opened his eyes, he found the space beside him empty.

He sat up quickly and glanced around. Then he met Adrien’s gaze from across the room, where she was seated with her legs crossed, reading something at a small table.

All the anxiety that had been churning inside him just moments before dissolved instantly. Without thinking, Samuel let out a deep breath of relief.

“Ensign, did you have a bad dream?”

“No, it’s not that… I just thought… maybe the Commander had left.”

“And leave you here by yourself?”

Adrien gave a little scoff. Realizing how it sounded that he accused the Commander for being a bad person, Samuel shook his head quickly.

“That’s not what I meant! I swear! I just thought… you might have had something urgent to take care of, that’s all.”

“If I had to leave, it would have to be for something very urgent.”

“Even if you did, I’d be fine, really.”

“Liar.”
