“If you tell the truth, I’ll let you go…”
“I told the truth. I threw it away. Now let me go.”
“You crazy b***h, how dare you!”
The hand gripping my collar shot up. For a moment it looked like he was going to slap me. But for some reason, he clenched his fist instead and lowered it.
Thud!
“—ngh…”
His fist slammed into my lower abdomen.
“I’ll make sure everything hidden by clothes is beaten to pulp.”
So that was it. That’s why he only hit places no one could see.
“Begging won’t help. You’ll only get out of this if you confess you didn’t throw the ring away.”
Snarling, he began binding my ankles together with his belt. I twisted and fought, but once his heavy body pressed me down, resistance was useless.
I ended up tied like an animal, face-down. As I struggled to loosen the knot tied to the bedframe with one hand, my skirt was shoved up.
Snap. Snap.
The clips holding my stockings came loose one by one. Helplessly feeling his vile hands on my thighs, Felkner, that rabid demon, flashed through my mind.
“Now you can never undo this marriage.”
This time, there was no Killian to save me. The only person who could save me here was me.
‘I should’ve told him I’d suck him like I did with Felkner—and then crush his balls.’
But even if I said it now, my limbs were bound. Crushing them wouldn’t be possible…
Then maybe biting would… An idea struck me.
“Th-the ring…”
“Hm?”
The hand pulling down my underwear stopped.
“I left it at Lady Ackroyd’s house.”
Behind me, he let out a long breath, as if releasing his anger. Then, almost approvingly, he patted my backside.
“Good girl. You thought it through. Then I’ll keep my promise, I won’t hit you.”
“T-then… hic… y-you’ll stop… this…?”
He laughed behind me. The underwear draped over my back was dragged down again.
“Th-then you’ll be… g-gentle… right…?”
I begged, trembling like a frightened dog. Maybe it softened him a little. He stroked the back of my head as if petting a dog, then pulled me into his arms, coaxing me.
“Dana, don’t worry. I hate being rough, really. But you keep treating me like a villain, so I end up acting like one.”
I turned to face him and cried as pitifully and prettily as I could.
“C-can you… k-kiss me first? Like before… please kiss me like you used to.”
Whether it was my face, the one reason he couldn’t let me go, or the words like before, his guard dropped completely. He gazed at me with softened eyes, pressed his lips to mine, then pulled back.
“Does it remind you of the old days?”
Whatever he read into my blank blinking, he smiled to himself and kissed me again. It was longer and deeper this time.
At first I responded passively, then gradually grew more active, teasing him just enough. It worked. Soon he was gripping the back of my head, kissing me ravenously, like he wanted to devour me.
‘Disgusting.’
I wanted to vomit straight into his mouth. But I endured it, moving my tongue along with his. Then, when he pushed his tongue deep into my mouth again—
‘Now.’
I clenched my teeth with everything I had. My front teeth snapped shut like a saw, biting down on the flesh inside my mouth.
“—agh!”
He screamed, shrill and broken, his tongue still caught between my teeth. He struggled to pull away, then stopped, realizing it would only tear deeper.
Now he grabbed my cheeks, pressing hard, trying to force my jaw open. The harder he pressed, the harder I clenched, grinding my teeth shut with every ounce of strength I had. The whites of his eyes reddened, then began to roll back.
‘Pass out. Hurry up and pass out.’
I couldn’t release his tongue until he lost consciousness. I poured everything into holding on. Then, from the corner of my vision, I saw his hand rise.
Thud! A hand as large as my face smashed into my head with brutal force. My vision spun; pain rang through my skull.
Even then, I didn’t open my mouth.
I hadn’t forgotten how I’d lost before. When Felkner struck my head like this, I’d reflexively loosened my grip on his weak spot and lost a fight I was winning.
So why, why, when I was still biting down on his tongue—
Had his face suddenly pulled away from mine?
