Chapter 23
“My, Viscount Luman was passionately in love with Lady Shelmier. He just couldn’t approach her because her background was too burdensome.”
It was shocking news to Asha, who had often seen them at social gatherings. Viscount Luman loved Lady Shelmier? He, who always ignored her?
“How did you know?”
“It’s obvious. He treats Lady Shelmier more coldly whenever he sees her, yet his eyes are always following her. He even shows a restless face sometimes. Who wouldn’t know?”
Melissa’s nonchalant attitude added credibility to her statement that it was a ‘very easy task.’ Guaranteed, the only person in the social circle who noticed this fact was Melissa.
Thump, thump—her heart raced wildly with excitement. Now, beyond fascination, a sense of awe surged.
“Wo—wow.”
Melissa burst into that undignified laughter again at Asha, who let out a short exclamation with a flushed face. Even that looked full of ease.
Maybe Melissa could solve her problem in one go?
Asha, more excited than usual, blurted out the words before her reason could review the thought.
“Then, what should I do to seduce a man?”
“Seduce?”
Gasp. Asha shut her mouth as she realized it wasn’t a topic to be brought up in broad daylight, especially inside a dress shop. However, she couldn’t hide her cheeks, which had already turned a mottled red. The quick-witted Melissa realized at once that the ‘seduction’ Asha spoke of was not of the heart, but of the body.
To think that the wild and reckless young lady is asking about carnal matters.
Melissa’s smile deepened. Her sparkling blonde hair in the afternoon sunlight, and the way she shrunk her shoulders with her cheeks dyed red, looked adorable. Her cheeks, like ripe fruit that only those of that age could have, triggered an impulse to bite them.
How could one keep their mouth shut after seeing such a sight? Melissa, pulling the blushing Asha slightly into a corner, whispered.
“In meeting countless men, I’ve seen some with picky s****l tastes, but there has never been a man who wasn’t delighted to have someone kneel down and suck his c**k.”
“Down there… with one’s mouth?”
Asha’s earlobes flushed at the more lewd-than-expected advice. It had only been a few days since she had almost lost her mind at his lips rummaging below, and to hear of it again in a place like this. She felt a surge of the shame from a few days ago.
Melissa continued emphatically as if that wasn’t the end.
“There’s something even more important. You must follow this one rule.”
“What on earth is it….”
Asha’s shoulders stiffened with tension at Melissa’s repeated emphasis that it must be followed. Yet, to avoid missing that important thing, she listened with all her heart and soul, her eyes shining.
How cute. Melissa whispered with an excited air.
“If you only stay down below, you’re no different from a w***e.”
“A w***e…?”
Melissa’s fan clapped against her palm with a snap.
“So, you must climb up onto his thighs, Madam.”
“Onto his thighs… you mean?”
“Yes. Only when you finally occupy the top of his thighs at the end can you say you’ve succeeded in true seduction.”
Melissa’s mysterious purple eyes met Asha’s eyes directly. Since that gaze seemed to ask if she had heard correctly, Asha nodded her head diligently.
Melissa, who responded playfully with a wink, straightened her body which she had leaned over elegantly, as if she had never whispered such a secret. It was the movement of an impeccably graceful noblewoman.
“Oh my—I’m worried Helen will scold me for saying such nonsense.”
As if she had never whispered anything lewd, the atmosphere returned to that of a typical afternoon dress shop. And a lively early summer one at that.
To match this atmosphere, Asha also pressed down on her heated cheeks and replied casually. Although she couldn’t hide the slight trembling at the end of her words, she looked quite skillful in her own way.
“Mother will praise you. After all, you’ve become an excellent teacher.”
Asha asserted that Melissa was an excellent teacher. Since it had been more than just pleasant but even ecstatic when he sucked her down there, Melissa’s direct approach was a highly reliable method that had already passed cross-verification.
Melissa, who was playing the part of a cheerful aunt, playfully changed her attitude.
“Then, Madam. Since you’ve gained something good, today, how about being generous—”
It seemed she hadn’t only mastered romance—Melissa also meticulously took care of her dress shop’s profits. When she stepped back and showed the dresses hanging on the wall with her nimble hands, Asha had no choice but to burst into laughter.
“Hmm.”
While using the Count’s checkbook weighed on her mind, the one who would spend a happy night thanks to Melissa’s direct method was him, so Asha decided to think of it comfortably.
“Charge me for everything that might suit me.”
“Truly, you’re a godsend!”
Thanks to that, Melissa’s Dress Shop, which hit its record daily sales, closed as soon as Asha left. It was a day when the corners of Melissa’s mouth flew up to the sky.
