Cecile, who had been lost in reminiscence, looked at Asha again. Asha’s gaze as she clung to Melissa was beyond passionate—it had a faint madness to it.

“Hmm, no.”

However, as if she hadn’t been watching Asha for eighteen years for nothing, Melissa didn’t even blink an eye at Asha’s nuisance behavior. Rather, she even smiled languidly as if telling her to try more, so only the clinging Asha became more anxious.

“Melissa—I won’t move a single step until you tell me. Are you still not going to tell me?”

When Asha even rubbed her a*s firmly against the sofa as she threatened her, Melissa let out a short laugh. To think she had become this desperate after enduring only two hours—Melissa was now genuinely curious about what on earth had happened.

“What on earth is happening in Bellstein Castle? The husband threatens me not to say anything useless, and the wife comes and asks me to tell her how to seduce him.”

“Harriet came to see you?”

In an instant, Asha’s face turned pale. Even though he said he wouldn’t bankrupt her or scold her, to think he was thinking of retaliating against Melissa behind her back! While it was exasperating, she was anxious to know what kind of thing he might have done to Melissa.

“His aide came to see me. Telling me not to teach the mistress strange things. Is the mistress a child? How could I teach her. Even when I say this, the aide told me with such a cold face.”

In Melissa’s tone as she exaggeratedly tattled that she was scared, a faint playfulness was buried. Asha, who had been tense for a moment thinking he might have harmed her, let out a sigh of relief. No wonder she wouldn’t open her mouth despite being pestered for two hours, she didn’t know there would be a reason like this.

“…Can’t you tell me just one last time?”

“I can’t do that when I’ve already accepted a pearl necklace.”

Melissa lightly brushed off Asha’s words as she made a piteous face and asked. Asha grumbled with her lips pouted, asking if a pearl necklace was more important than a connection that had lasted for eighteen years, but it didn’t work on Melissa at all. Unfortunately, Melissa was not such a scoundrel that she would swallow a high-quality product—one that the Empress had even subtly coveted—and then act as if nothing happened.

“Why are you so obsessed with seduction, Asha? The Count must be beyond in love and anxious for you. At times like this, just quietly receiving love is also….”

“In love, Harriet?”

Asha’s eyes widened, and then she burst into laughter. It was a misunderstanding that people who knew nothing always made. And why wouldn’t they? Who among the nobility would live with a spouse who had ruined business seventeen times without casting them out? Just by the fact that he hadn’t sued Asha and taken away her position as Countess, he had become a legendary devoted husband and a man who hung onto Asha.

But contrary to the world’s view, the relationship with Harriet… felt different from a passionate love that affects each other. Shouldn’t love be about being anxious for each other and going crazy with worry? In contrast, their relationship was close to searching, observation, and admiration. Just as one looks up to someone too beautiful rather than coveting them, Asha and Harriet hovered around each other.

‘If he really fell for me….’

He would have died for me when I seduced him! What man would snort in the face of his beloved wife’s seduction? At least, there were none in the numerous novels and eyewitness accounts Asha had read.

Hmph, hmph!

To Asha, who was snorting inwardly, Melissa asked with a curious voice.

“Asha, don’t you remember at Lady Silien’s banquet last month?”

“Last month?”

W-what…?

Since explosive events had been happening one after another lately, routine memories like banquets had long been expelled from Asha’s head. Lady Silien? Banquet? Even Lady Silien’s face was blurry, so Asha narrowed her eyes. Melissa, even seeing this stupid look, stared intently into Asha’s eyes as if suspicious.

All Asha could do was blink her eyes stupidly with sincerity that she really didn’t know. Only then did Asha’s sincerity reach her, and Melissa burst into laughter. The sound was so joyful it was almost frivolous.

“Puhaha!”

“Melissa, did I do something wrong? What did I do at the last banquet?”

Because there was nothing she could guess to an eerie degree, Asha trembled in anxiety. What did I do? Did I lie down in the banquet hall again? Despite Asha’s anxious questions, Melissa did not stop laughing. If she asked her to answer her words in this situation, it seemed Melissa would lose her breath, so Asha shut her mouth. She couldn’t help her lips pouting at Melissa’s playful attitude.

“Puhaha, I’m sorry. Hic—hehe. Ahh… so you forgot, you really forgot. Haha.”

That thing, that thing.

Melissa muttered while wiping her eyes which were tearing up. She didn’t know what on earth she had forgotten, but even if she added more words here, it would only stimulate Melissa’s laughter. Asha, having realized this fact, waited for Melissa’s laughter to stop, and Melissa, who had inhaled a few gasps of air, threw out some unexpected words.

“I’ll teach you, how to seduce.”
