What was going on? Normally, he would have continued to press her until the end. Moreover, he looked slightly sulky. Eren Wood, sulking—it actually looked kind of cute.

Eren was about to take a drag from the cigar in his hand.

“No, that’s not it.”

Macy grabbed his hand.

“I told you, if you love me, Eren, I can breathe.”

Instead of letting him take a puff, she lightly kissed him, making his eyes widen a little. Even though it was a light touch, Macy’s face heated up. She felt shy under his lingering gaze and fidgeted with the tips of her fingers to avoid it.

“I think you might have misunderstood…”

Eren stared at her for a while before casually snuffing out the cigar on the glass table. He leaned in and gently cupped her chin.

“What misunderstanding?”

His voice was soft.

“I think you might believe that I don’t like Eren that much.”

“I know you like me. But whenever I get too persistent, you seem overwhelmed.”

He knew he could be relentless.

Macy wasn’t unfamiliar with this side of Eren either.

“Do you really like me that much?”

Eren kissed her as his eyes narrowed into a soft smile. She almost thought she might hiccup. The man in front of her was impossibly beautiful.

She was definitely captivated by his face. It had always been a strong attraction, but when he smiled like that, Macy didn’t know how to handle it.

Eren gently kissed her lower lip and then her upper lip before they shared a deep kiss. It felt like being enveloped in warmth, sweet and tender.

Soon, Eren removed her cloak, the buttons on the back popping open. As her skin was exposed to the cool air, her body shivered slightly. Eren laid her back on the sofa and slowly traced over her chest

“Where did something like this come from?”

Eren spoke as though he had just grasped some great fortune. His touch felt strangely affectionate, yet his eyes held a strange gleam that created an eerie atmosphere.

“Ugh!”

He suddenly grabbed her chest tightly.

“I don’t know whether you’re unlucky or lucky.”
