Chapter 201
“Why are you doing this to my friends… What did they do wrong… How could you do this? Eren, you’re not like this. You’re not a cruel person like this… Huh, sob…”
Her faith in Eren slowly shattered.
The belief that Eren had been angry with her for a moment and was venting his frustration began to fade. She had thought that, after some time, he might return to being kind.
But now those thoughts felt like a distant memory from another life. To bring her friends into this and threaten them… To act without a shred of guilt, simply because Macy’s death was inconvenient…
She felt like she no longer knew the person in front of her. He wasn’t human—he was like a demon.
A monster who seemed to feed off her pain to prolong his own life. How could anyone be this cruel? How could he do this to her…?
“What do you think you know about me?”
Eren sneered, twisting his lips.
“I’ve done far worse things in my life than this. You’ve fallen into your feelings and mistaken me for a good person.”
Yes, maybe that was it. Maybe Macy had been mistaken, as he said.
“You said you loved me…”
But even someone like him, who claimed to love her—he had poured out his feelings, unable to contain his passion. He had held her tightly with such tenderness.
“You said you loved me… Was that also a mistake?”
“No, I love you.”
Eren immediately replied. He squatted down to match Macy’s eye level, gently brushing her cheek and gazing at her with affection—just like that day in the warm room when he had held her close and kissed her.
“I’m crazy because you said it was love. I do love you. And that’s why I’ve locked you here.”
“This isn’t love…”
“Ha, this isn’t love?”
Could this be love? Shackling her ankle and satisfying his own desires wasn’t love. To torment her and drag the people around her into a pit of evil—it was something no lover would do.
“You keep calling it love, then saying it’s not, switching your mind like the boiling of water.”
Eren ignored Macy’s shocked expression and pressed his hand to the back of her neck, speaking softly with a commanding tone.
“Get on your knees. I’ll give you the love you want.”
He began to undo his pants again. He gripped Macy’s waist and forced her down. The tiles beneath her knees felt unbearably cold, as if she had been stripped bare and thrown into a winter storm—the chill seeping deep into her bones.
“You said you wanted to be loved, didn’t you? Well, here it is. The love you begged for. I’ll fill you up like the madman you wanted. Isn’t this what you called love?”
Eren muttered words that seemed meant for no one in particular before slamming himself inside her in one thrust. A sickening tear like flesh torn was heard.
Bright red liquid dripped onto the tiles. Each drop is like a piece of her heart falling away. Her inner walls were ravaged and burned, raw and bruised.
The light in Macy’s eyes slowly faded. Her gaze, now lifeless, swayed weakly.

“Your Grace!”
Rubens came to his senses at the loud shout in his ear. Turning his head, he saw Kronen looking at him with a serious expression.
“What’s the matter?”
“You have a dinner engagement with the Werfel family today, don’t you?”
“The dinner with the Werfel family is on Saturday.”
“Today… is Saturday.”
One of Rubens’ eyebrows arched in confusion. Before he could process what was being said, he felt the soft skin wrapping around his palm. Lowering his head, he saw Macy’s pale rear lifted, and his own body buried inside her. He had been thrusting into her while she lay unconscious.
“This isn’t a day you can miss, so I decided to risk the rudeness and—”
“Leave.”
“Excuse me?”
“Leave this place immediately.”
Rubens’ voice dropped to a chilling cold.
“Who dared you to come here without permission?”
“I-I’m sorry! I’ll leave right away!”
Kronen, startled by his master’s fierce gaze, quickly exited the room.

In the Duke’s dining hall, a formal meeting had been set up for Isabella and Rubens to meet. A lavish dinner had been prepared for the Werfel family, who had traveled a long distance.
“Then, I’ll assume the date is set for March. I thought we wouldn’t be able to hold the ceremony until May, but it seems you’ve already arranged the schedule.”
“There’s no point in delaying something that needs to be done.”
The conversation flowed around Ottilie Krygen, the elder of the Krygen family, and Countess Werfel.
