Around the central long table, key figures were engaged in a heated discussion.

“But Ciseina might use this opportunity to demand something else.”

The Kingdom of Ciseina was not an easy country to deal with.

Rubens finally spoke up.

“We should give them what is insignificant to us but necessary for them.”

“They are not fools. Why would they need something that is insignificant to us?”

Marquis Naissen countered, as if questioning the validity of the suggestion.

“We have several promising artists whom we cannot afford to nurture.”

“What do you mean by that?”

“I suggest sending these promising artists to study at the Ciseina Royal Academy and bringing back Ciseina’s artworks. They benefit by gaining talented individuals, and exhibiting domestic artworks in the Cathedral of Gadvich would be beneficial for our national strength.”

“But this will cause the art scene in Obelit to decline even further.”

His statement was accurate. It implied sending raw gems that, if properly cut and polished, could become beautiful jewels. However, it also showed a lack of understanding of the harsh realities of the Obelit art scene.

“It may be a loss in the short term, but in the long run, it will not be detrimental to us. After all, even the most talented artists in Obelit face limitations in achieving fame, so it would be a good opportunity for emerging artists.”

“Collecting a number of such emerging artists seems like an impractical task, though…”

Marquis Naissen spoke hesitantly, glancing around to gauge the reactions of those present. The other nobles also seemed to share his concerns.

“That is something our family will take responsibility for.”
