Chapter 75
The next moment, an intense emotion swept over him like a massive wave.
It was so palpable, almost like a tangible, warm current flowing over and even reaching her.
His chest ached as if he might burst into tears at any moment, yet at the same time, he felt an overwhelming urge to embrace her so tightly that she might break.
Ylfus, his golden eyes shimmering, looked down at Cinq before scooping her into his arms.
Realizing he intended to leave the banquet hall, Cinq hastily said,
“W-We need to inform Mother and Father…”
He buried his lips in the crook of her neck and murmured,
“It’s fine. We’re newlyweds, after all.”
Ylfus exhaled hot, ragged breaths against her slender, delicate neck like an excited beast.
He kissed along the curve of her throat, grazing the thin skin over her delicate bones with his lips, biting gently.
But now that his coarse stubble was gone, his lips were… far too soft.
The unfamiliar sensation of the kisses sent a shiver down Cinq’s spine, making the fine hairs on her neck stand on end.
“It f-feels a little strange.”
Ylfus pressed his lips behind her earlobe, where her skin, fragrant with scented oil, carried a sweet aroma.
“Why? Is it because of the magic again?”
“Y-Yes, it’s different from usual…”
“What a shame,” he whispered, his lips brushing her small ear. “If you think this is strange, it’ll feel even stranger when everything comes off.”
“……!”
Cinq’s eyes widened.
“W-Wait, you mean it wasn’t just what’s visible?”
“‘The Lawnmower of Spinel’ aims for perfection,” he replied.
“Did it hurt?”
“It did. So doesn’t my beloved wife owe me some care?”
As he carried her up the quiet stairs leading to their room, Ylfus cradled her as if he might crush her, all the while showering her with deep kisses.
Cinq knew she should stop him. The castle was bustling with guests, and someone might see them. She had to maintain her dignity as the young madam of Kalasca…
“Cinq, my beloved wife.”
He placed her on the wide windowsill of the staircase, the moonlight pouring in.
In a voice filled with raw emotion, he murmured,
“Could you be a gift from God to me?”
Hearing the uncontainable affection in his slightly hoarse voice, Cinq couldn’t resist. She pulled his face close and kissed him first.
Behind her, the beautiful summer night sky stretched out endlessly. A warm breeze carried the sweet scent of ripening grapes from the vineyards below.
Ylfus cupped her face in his large hands, deepening the kiss. Cinq tilted her head back, welcoming him.
No matter how they intertwined, they always fit perfectly, without a trace of awkwardness.
If this feeling could be described as a color, it would be the golden glimmers created by sunlight scattering across a pristine white sandy beach—warm and radiant.
Cinq wrapped her arms around his neck. She wanted to wrap her legs around his waist as well, but the layers of underskirts made it impossible.
Instead, she pressed her small body closer to him and confessed in a breathless voice,
“Ylfus, I want you.”
Rather than respond, Ylfus lifted her into his arms again. Taking the stairs two or three at a time, he carried her to their bedroom in a flash. Using his shoulder, he pushed the door open and stepped inside.
Setting her down beside the bed, he turned her around to face one of the bed’s posts, positioning her hands to hold onto it.
Cinq felt him undoing the laces of her dress, clutching the post tightly to keep her balance. Ylfus pressed his lips to the back of her neck.
“Ah…”
Clinging to the bedpost, Cinq let out a soft moan. Even the way he tugged her dress off felt like a passionate caress.
When she was left in just her undergarments, he turned her to face him.
Her lace lingerie matched her dress, with garter belts accentuating her waist and long stockings gripping her plump thighs.
Looking up at him with clear, innocent eyes, she had become the perfect image of temptation.
Ylfus felt the last thread of his reason snap.
“God, Cinq…”
He lifted her by her slender waist and set her down on the bed. Kissing her small, lovely lips with fervor, he hurriedly removed his own clothes.
As he shed the formal attire that had confined him all day, his overheated body radiated vitality.
Pulling her hands from where they clutched the sheet, he placed them against his chest.
Cinq’s wide eyes sparkled as they met his.
“……!”
