“It’s part of my body, so it’s strong. Nothing could leave even a scratch on you.”

Fay was troubled. She didn’t need him to say it for her to know it would be sturdy. But was it really worth the price of never being able to escape him again, just to have an invincible cloak?

His possessiveness seemed to be growing worse and worse. The realization made her uneasy.

Still… if the emperor truly decided to target only her, how much could she realistically stop him?

Fay knew he was trying to frighten her into agreeing. She noticed the tactic. She wanted to tell him proudly that it wouldn’t work.

“Fay, you don’t want to die, do you?”

“….”

“I don’t want you to die either. So… please.”

Contrary to her intentions, his persuasion worked better than she expected. She couldn’t immediately say she didn’t need it.

She didn’t think her abilities were so poor that she couldn’t protect her own life. But if the emperor truly singled her out and tried to kill her… that was another matter.

Even a powerful wizard like Virelda would probably have to live with constant anxiety in that situation. Fay suddenly realized that she had been living rather carelessly up until now, trusting that Alnazir was always by her side.

Wasn’t saving her life more important than feeling uncomfortable? A defensive measure was extremely valuable.

Right. In truth, what was so difficult about wearing a single cloak?

Whether man or woman, people liked it when someone wore clothes they had chosen or given them. There were even people who hunted foxes or bears, skinned them, and made clothes themselves.

She decided to think of it that way.

“Now that I think about it, it’s not that strange.”

Of course, she had never heard of anyone making clothes out of their own body. But to accept the situation, Fay deliberately tried not to think much of it.

“Just don’t do anything weird to me with this.”

At last, she accepted the cloak. Alnazir spread his arms in welcome. He pulled her into an embrace and brushed the tip of his nose against the back of her neck, expressing his delight.

“I’ve never done anything strange to you. Not even once.”

His confidence left Fay speechless.

“I guess the Alnazir who’s been by my side all this time must have been someone else, then.”

“…You’re not wearing anything under the cloak?”

Trying to change the subject, Alnazir lifted the cloak slightly with his fingers. Through the gap, her bare body came into view.

Since she had brought clothes into the bathroom, he had assumed she’d put them on beneath the cloak. Apparently, she had spent all that time trying to remove it instead.

A thought suddenly crossed his mind. He lifted her easily and set her down on top of the washbasin. When he brushed aside the cloak covering her thighs, pale skin was revealed.

“You’re doing it again after I just washed?”

Instead of answering, he leaned closer and inhaled. The faint scent of soap tickled his senses. That part made sense, she had just bathed.

But for some reason, the flesh of her thighs felt slightly sticky.

“Did you sweat?”

“Why? Do I smell like sweat?”

Startled, Fay quickly closed her legs. She pushed his head away and tried to climb down from the sink.

“The smell’s good.”

Alnazir used his shoulders to spread her thighs apart and pushed inside once more. As if to reassure her, he patted her thighs gently before lowering his nose to inhale her scent again.

“I was curious why you broke into a sweat so suddenly.”

“…”

“Were you having fun in here all by yourself?”

“No!”

Fay shouted with a bright red face.

“I—I was just struggling to take off the cloak, that’s why I sweated! Wh-what kind of nonsense is that?! Zynie’s right outside the bathroom—there’s no way I’d do something like that!”

Fay hated how she stammered even while protesting her innocence. Didn’t it make her look exactly like someone caught red-handed and flustered?

“Really. I absolutely wasn’t having fun by myself or anything…”

“Okay. Calm down.”

“I got flustered because you were suspicious… Don’t say weird things.”

“So since no one’s outside now… could you?”

“I just told you not to say weird things and you’re doing it again!”

Calling it a bad habit, Fay clamped her hand over his mouth. Muzzled and unable to speak, he was utterly undeterred. In fact, his eyes crinkled in that familiar crescent smile.

He’s thinking something wicked again. Or maybe just lewd.

Fay’s prediction was proven accurate. The man with the wicked, lewd gaze repositioned her, hooking her legs over his shoulders so her s*x was fully exposed. She unconsciously tried to keep herself from clenching.

While she was distracted focusing downward, Alnazir grabbed the hand she’d been idly playing with. Together, their joined hands moved toward her slick entrance.

Fay tried to pull away. But his massive hand, large enough to cover hers entirely, held her firm, she couldn’t muster much resistance.

“Are you telling me to do it right in front of you?”

She regretted asking the moment the words left her mouth.
