Chapter 123
“You want to watch me do it?”
“It’s not fair that only I have to show myself being embarrassed. Though that’s not the only reason.”
“Then?”
“I’m curious too. What kind of face Alnazir makes when he’s alone.”
Fay wiggled her toes, pressing subtly against his length.
With every exhale, Alnazir felt an immense heat radiating from within himself. His heart clenched as if gripped tightly in someone’s hands.
“Did I hear correctly… that you’re curious about me?”
He already knew he’d heard right, but he couldn’t believe it. He wanted to confirm with his own ears once more.
Curiosity had always burned strong in him. Whenever humans or other creatures did something peculiar, he observed them, sought the reasons. Once cause and effect connected, his curiosity was satisfied. Until the next mystery drew his attention.
Observing and observing again. He’d repeated this cycle for eons. He found it immensely entertaining, and as a ruler, he considered it his natural right.
But being the object of a human’s curiosity? He’d never imagined such a day would come. Alnazir was genuinely stunned.
“Yes. I’m curious. Is that not allowed?”
Fay tilted her head as if she couldn’t understand the issue. She hadn’t asked expecting refusal, so her expression remained calm and confident.
She doesn’t even realize what she’s said.
As she provocatively pressed against him, Alnazir grabbed her ankle.
Despite her leg being lifted higher than comfortable, Fay showed no surprise or unease. She wiggled her captured foot a couple of times, then simply laughed.
She knew he could flip her upside down anytime. Knew this slender ankle would snap with the slightest pressure. She understood clearly that if the man before her wished it, harm would come easily.
Yet she showed no fear. Instead, she laughed. Because she trusted he wouldn’t hurt her.
“Take it out and show me.”
Because she trusted him, she could provoke him without hesitation.
Becoming her familiar, submitting to her had merely been a means to possess her. Following a human’s commands was inherently humiliating. He endured only because Fay was too fragile to weather his anger, and because he cared for her.
He tolerated her. He allowed her to be his master. Even while lowering himself, he’d unconsciously maintained the upper hand, without even realizing it.
Only now did the truth strike him deeply: Fay controlled him. Their relationship was so unique that she could do things to him he’d always taken for granted.
He hadn’t recognized it, but such instances had occurred frequently. Not just her curiosity about him. She’d even forgiven him. He’d been so focused on how hard-won that forgiveness was that he’d missed the essence of it.
Somewhere along the way, she’d climbed to the very top of his head. This tiny figure, triumphantly perched there.
It was humiliating? But honestly, it didn’t feel bad at all.
“Fine. I’ll show you. But first, say what you said earlier again.”
It wasn’t mere tolerability, it was enjoyment. Watching Fay look down on him was amusing and strangely exhilarating. He realized now: he hadn’t been enduring at all. He’d been savoring it.
“That thing you said before. Say it again, Fay.”
Alnazir pushed his trousers down past his hips. His length sprang free, tip glistening, twitching eagerly.
With her ankle raised higher, Fay braced both hands behind her on the vanity to keep from falling backward.
Thankfully, the bathroom renovation had included a larger counter. Otherwise she might have ended up wedged hilariously into a sink bowl.
“Nngh.”
Alnazir kissed her lifted foot, then slowly began licking. Fay shivered at the sensation.
“What I said earlier?”
“You said you were curious about me.”
His voice was urgent, too busy coating her foot with saliva to waste words.
Fay’s eyes flickered thoughtfully. She’d expected him to demand she repeat “take it out and show me”—but his request surprised her. She paused deliberately.
Giving in immediately whenever he asks, that’s no way to train a familiar, is it?
“Say you’re so curious you can’t stand it.”
“Oh, it’s not that intense.”
Fay shook her head with an aloof face. Alnazir’s brow furrowed, and he pressed his teeth lightly against the arch of her haughty witch’s foot.
He wanted to hear those words of curiosity from her lips again.
“Don’t drive me crazy. Say it. Please.”
For a plea, his golden eyes were quite threatening.
