Chapter 6
At first glance, she really did look human. But within her, he sensed a power similar to the one he’d used to bring about calamities. It was proof enough, for magic-ignorant Alnazir, that she couldn’t be an ordinary human.
She wasn’t exactly ‘great’, but he decided this must be the limit of what counted as a ruler in this world.
All the more reason to show her respect. Mistakenly thinking he’d finally found a fellow of his kind, Alnazir resolved to be as gentle as possible.
He extended a tentacle instead of a hand and even tried to smile charmingly, wanting to express goodwill. This was the first time he’d ever met someone he could truly communicate with—maybe, just maybe, he could make a friend.
“Fireball!”
But the witch didn’t seem to appreciate his intentions. In fact, she apparently took it as a challenge and attacked him. It didn’t hurt or even itch, but being rejected so blatantly left him a bit sour.
“Fireball! Fire—ugh, I messed up!”
When he stood there and let her attacks land, she just collapsed into despair, clutching her staff and sobbing. He found it all rather absurd. But he had to admit, her crying voice was quite pleasant to hear.
For a moment, Alnazir simply watched her weep. Having a being that wasn’t human, a great one, no less, fell into despair before him filled him with a strange, delicious thrill.
He liked this feeling. The more he watched, the more he wanted to grow closer to her; a real friendship, maybe.
But there was one disappointment: for some reason, the witch seemed determined to hold her voice in, gritting her teeth to keep from crying out loud.
How unfortunate. The sound of her emotions spilling out was mesmerizing.
“Cry more.”
“Mm—”
“If you’re crying, why not let it out?”
Alnazir nudged her with a tentacle, encouraging her. Even though it was a gentle poke, the feeble witch toppled right over onto the ground.
“What a breakable little body.”
She was small and fragile, just like a human. Alnazir was amazed. The witch let out a shriek, trying to swing her staff at him again.
Was she really going to keep up these useless itchy attacks?
Alnazir snorted, easily snatching her staff away with a tentacle and tossing it aside. When she lost her staff so easily, her face crumpled with despair. Seeing her so helpless and trembling, he couldn’t help but find her… oddly adorable.
“P-please, s-spare me. Please, I—I…”
Her actions were no different from an ordinary human’s, but the mere fact that they could talk made her cries fascinating to him.
“Please…!”
The misunderstanding only deepened, but Alnazir let it go. Right now, he only wanted to hear her cry some more. Nothing else mattered.
“I’m not going to kill you. Cry a little more.”
Alnazir said, reaching out another tentacle.
As much as he enjoyed watching her cry, he also found it oddly fun to touch her, almost as if he was licking her with his hands. She was shy about her body, always hiding it under cloth, so there wasn’t much bare skin for him to touch.
But he pressed firmly over the swell of her chest through her clothes anyway. She gasped and whimpered.
“Hngh, nnngh!”
She seemed to be struggling for breath due to the pressure on her stomach and chest. Her face flushed as she panted.
“S-stop… it’s hard to breathe, please…”
Her pitiful plea didn’t make him stop.
Still, there was something unusual about her. She made his heart beat faster, rousing his body from a slumber that had lasted 300,000 years.
What was this feeling?
Alnazir was genuinely confused. He wanted to know more, to understand this strange new sensation.
“I feel… intoxicated.”
Yes, intoxicated—that was the word for it. He’d never actually been drunk before, but this dizzy, elated feeling must be it.
He wanted to keep feeling this way. He’d set out to be polite and well-behaved, but the more he listened to her voice, the more his thoughts darkened.
But it couldn’t be helped—she sounded so good.
Alnazir decided it was irresistible. He bound her struggling arms and legs with his tentacles. When he squeezed her sensitive spots, she let out ragged breaths.
“Nnngh, hngh—wait, not there…!”
Especially when he rubbed between her thighs, she writhed and shook her head helplessly.
