Chapter 24
As Sylaria’s body trembled finely, feeling as though she’d become light and then dropped heavily to the ground, Euclid’s firm body, which had been embracing her, jolted.
“Mmngh…!”
Euclid buried his face in the nape of Sylaria’s neck, his large body convulsing. Each time it happened, the hand gripping her hip and the fingertips still inside her entrance twitched as well.
Because of that, Sylaria’s eyes, still lost in the aftermath of climax, flew wide open.

Shuddering all over from her second climax, Sylaria leaned her head against Euclid’s shoulder.

Grizelle’s shrill scream echoed through the rose garden. A horrific sight was reflected in her scarlet eyes.
Creatures resembling wolves—yet far larger and more grotesque—were pouring down from the ‘mouth’ that had opened in the sky.
Monsters with black fur and stark white eyes. Lacking even pupils, only glossy, all-white eyeballs gleamed as they growled from deep in their throats.
The monsters, wingless, descended into the garden as if they were free from the force of gravity.
“Why?”
Unlucky enough to be surrounded by monsters alongside Grizelle, Arendtert muttered in confusion.
A ‘mouth’ opening in the imperial palace. This was an unprecedented event.
‘If I can use this well, it could help me.’
Arendtert, momentarily flustered, quickly drew his sword and assumed a stance.
If he could suppress an event as unprecedented as this, especially in the imperial palace, it would greatly increase his chances of becoming Crown Prince.
This was a perfect opportunity to earn favor with the Emperor and the Noble Council.
Having sized up the situation, Arendtert grinned.
There were about ten monsters that had come out of the mouth.
Judging by the size of the open mouth, it was not a large-scale event. There probably wouldn’t be more monsters. At most, two or three more might appear.
It was a manageable fight.
Though outnumbered, soon enough other Holy Knights of the imperial palace would arrive. Until then, he just needed to endure without provoking the monsters too much.
If he managed that, he would earn the title of the prince who protected the imperial family from the first ‘mouth’ in the palace’s history.

“Kyaaaah! Hiiieeek!”
There was an obstacle to Arendtert’s plan.
‘How bothersome.’
He clicked his tongue, frowning. At his side, Grizelle was terrified at seeing a monster for the first time in her life, screaming in near-hysteria.
Did she have nothing in her head but that rustic air, that she didn’t even know the basics of how to deal with monsters?
Sylaria had remained composed when faced with monsters. How could they be so different, coming from the same place?
Arendtert barely restrained himself from clamping a hand over her mouth.
From a distance, the Holy Knights of the palace, having sensed the ‘mouth’, were rushing over. Since their eyes were on him, he had to maintain the dignity of a prince.
“Be quiet, Lady Willoughby.”
“Hiii, Your Highness! P-Please, save me!”
“I’ll save you, so if you don’t want to be eaten by monsters, shut your mouth.”
At Arendtert’s rough words, so unlike his usual gentlemanly self, the shocked Grizelle immediately covered her own mouth. Confirming this, he tightened his grip on his sword.

Soon, the mouth in the sky closed completely, and the monsters that had descended surrounded the two in a circle.
Arendtert gripped his sword firmly and charged at the monsters. He began cutting down the black beasts, drooling and slavering, one by one.
