Chapter 14
“Die, you bastard!”
It was a curse dripping with lethal intent. Feeling like he would truly die at this rate, Arnin thrashed his arms and legs violently.
But the woman was terrifyingly tenacious. As if her sole purpose was to choke him, she refused to let go, even as his fists struck her and his knees kicked her.
“Cough! Urgh! Help! What the f**k are you all standing around for, you idiots!”
Only then did the frozen, astonished knights snap out of it, and one by one, they latched onto Katie.
“Th-this b***h is completely insane, isn’t she?”
“Get off her!”
“Grab her body and lift her! Her hands and feet are bound anyway, so she can’t resist!”
Even as the knights seized her and flung her back onto the floor, Katie’s face was filled with venom. She sneered triumphantly, a mocking laugh twisting her lips.
“Touch even a single strand of my hair! I’ll rip it all off with my teeth!”
The knights looked at her with disgusted faces, then at their own fingers, and finally, at their d***s.
She was struggling so fiercely, it genuinely terrified them. If they dared to lay a hand on her, or even a tool, she might actually tear something off.
“This b***h still doesn’t know her place!”
One knight who had rushed in recklessly was kicked by Katie’s foot and sent flying far away. The knights watching the scene only solidified their thoughts.
‘With that personality, she’d chew someone’s d**k off and still have energy left.’
There had to be springs in her knees. Her skill at kicking a man even with bound feet was quite something. She was like a f*****g mule kicking with its rear legs.
Meanwhile, the man kicked by Katie rolled across the floor like a bouncing button. After tumbling for a long time, he finally stopped after crashing into something.
“Ugh. What the hell.”
The world spun wildly after rolling backward several times. How far had he flown to even hit a wall? Perhaps he had hit a cabinet or something.
The man was struggling to regain his senses. Something hard behind him nudged him.
‘…Huh? What was that? It kicked me?’
The man froze at the strange sensation. It made no sense. He didn’t know if it was a wall or a cabinet, but an inanimate object moving?
And that inanimate object even spoke in a lazy voice.
“It seems this warehouse is possessed by a demon.”
“Gasp.”
The man creaked his head around to look behind him.
A polished, gleaming shoe-toe. Above it, pants neatly creased and ironed.
And standing there, contrasting sharply with the formal attire, with a casual, leaning stance, was none other than…
“No matter how many times I come here, something interesting always happens.”
…Helion, the First Prince of this Empire.
“Y-your Highness?”
The man’s voice trembled. Helion nudged him aside with his foot, as if clearing away garbage sprawled on the floor. Then he strode forward, pushing his way through the knights who were frozen, unable to even breathe.
Soon, he found a woman lying on the floor, still bound.
A feisty cat, desperately trying to keep her eyes, reddened from anger or perhaps suppressed tears, from showing her true emotions.
Helion bent over to Katie, his eyes crinkling in a smile.
“I wondered if I’d see you again if I came here, and indeed you are. Though I never imagined you’d be in such a state.”
“…Ugh.”
Katie bit her trembling lip. It was an act done because she couldn’t withstand the intense heat that was truly assailing her, but in Helion’s eyes, it only looked like she was suppressing her sorrow.
“So, about that.”
Helion’s gaze landed on the half-open front of Katie’s shirt, then drifted away.
When he raised his head again to look at the knights, his eyes were no longer smiling.
“Do you perhaps know? Who the f**k dared to torment my cat?”
