Chapter 33
“Alright, alright. He wants us out. Let’s go.”
Just before fully stepping out the door, Cheche met his gaze, as if asking if he was truly okay. Helion responded by simply nodding his head.
As soon as the door closed, he followed the pressed marks on the carpet. From the sofa in front of the bed to the bathroom. The carpet fibers were flattened in one direction, as if something heavy had been dragged across them.
At first, he wondered if Katie had found an assassin hiding and dragged them away, but he quickly changed his mind. The width of the mark was thin. This was a mark made by Katie’s body.
It bothered him that there wasn’t a single trace of blood for it to be an injury.
‘And why, of all places, is the destination the bathroom again?’
Helion ran a hand through his disheveled hair, pushing it back. Beneath his prominently revealed forehead, his eyes gleamed with a dark, expectant glint.
Helion silenced his footsteps and entered the bathroom. However, contrary to his expectations, Katie was not there.
No, he only thought she wasn’t there.
“Hmph.”
Until he heard a small whimper that he might have otherwise missed.
Once he registered it, the sound became clearer and clearer. Her breathing, rough and anxious. A desperate groan, heavily suppressed as if she had clamped her hand over her mouth, yet still escaping.
Helion walked further into the bathroom and placed a hand on the edge of the bathtub. Then, he leaned his upper body deep inside and asked.
“Who made you cry this time?”
The bathtub was made deep and wide to fit his size. The cat, curled up tightly inside, flinched.
“…Your Highness? Hmph!”
Helion reached out and snatched her chin. At that small touch, the cat trembled as if she would spring up any moment, tears streaming down her face.
Her delicate hand, which had barely been covering her mouth, dropped away, revealing lips swollen red from how much she had bitten them.
His hand, gripping the edge of the bathtub, tightened. Thick veins stood out on the back of his hand, exposed from beneath his sleeve.
‘Last time, I blamed it on the medicine, but this time, why the hell is this happening?’
An unexpected gift was always delightful. However, Helion couldn’t accept the woman before him as merely a good kind of gift. Using honey traps to kill or assassinate opponents was a common, well-worn tactic. So, logically, it would be better to take the woman before him to a doctor to accurately assess the situation, rather than touching her…
Yet, Helion knew this, but he couldn’t stop his gaze from constantly drifting towards the woman.
He admitted it. He was aroused by Katie. Few people could refuse a feast that had been laid out before them for decades.
Ultimately, Helion buried the questions swirling in his mind with another curiosity.
“Do you know something, Katie?”
“…Yes?”
“When I see the color of your lips, it makes me wonder about the color of other places.”
He had once read something like this in a book: if you know the color of the lips, you can know the color of the n*****s. But what Helion was curious about was something even more intimate.
What color would the inside of a place made to receive something, for that very purpose, be?
“It’s troublesome to provoke a man who’s trying to be patient like this.”
“Hmph, I…”
His face was reflected in her hazy, grey eyes, softened and melted by the heat.
The moment he felt the thick, raw lust pooling within them, Helion could no longer hold back and lifted the woman.
“Let’s go to bed, Kitty.”
“Haaahng.”
At his slightest touch, the cat cried out desperately, convulsing. Moaning as if she was about to come any second.
Meow. It was the very cry he had imagined hundreds of times in his head.
