Chapter 4
“Katie. You were like this from the first time I saw you. I told you to train, but you just stared at me, luring me in.”
That was b******t. She was just looking at her target.
“And then you still won’t give your body to me. Why? If you become my concubine, you’ll have a smooth path ahead of you.”
Don’t say such things. I am a knight, not a w***e who sells her body.”
“Yes. That’s what makes a man even crazier.”
Damian’s breathing grew ragged. The hand gripping the stand tightened, and the rubbing motion of his e******n quickened.
Katie gritted her teeth. She could easily push him away, but she didn’t know how much force to use.
If she pushed him too hard, he would surely fall, and then her loyalty would be questioned. Harming a prince she was sworn to protect? She might even be expelled from the knighthood.
Then the mission would fail. She wouldn’t be able to face anyone back in the Kingdom.
But if she pushed him gently, he clearly wouldn’t let go.
‘Damn it!’
She felt utterly disgusted. She wanted to use her sword to carve out the part of her tailbone where the man was rubbing his c**k.
“Oh my. I woke up to quite an amusing spectacle.”
It was then that a soft voice reached them. Both Katie and Damian, who had been engaged in his lewd act, turned in surprise.
In the corner of the warehouse, a man was sprawled out on a pile of mats. Unlike where the stand was placed, that area was dark, untouched by the sunlight filtering through the window.
“Is this a new play?”
Only then did Katie realize how they must appear from the man’s perspective. In the darkness, only their spot was brightly illuminated by the sunlight. It must have looked like a brightly lit stage before a dark audience.
‘Now!’
No sooner had she thought that than Damian recoiled from behind her. He wouldn’t listen when she told him to get away, but this situation clearly flustered him quite a bit.
“He-Helion?”
And at the name that followed, Katie was just as flustered as Damian. Helion was the name of the First Prince of the Aesoleum Empire. It was also the name of the man she had saved on ‘that day,’ the day she wanted to forget.
The black-haired beast who repaid kindness with enmity. The enemy of the Kingdom and her own enemy. The scoundrel of the century who cast a shadow of war over both nations.
Katie glared at Helion with sharp eyes. But the moment she saw his bright yellow eyes, shining alone in the darkness, she flinched uncontrollably and averted her gaze.
Their eyes mustn’t meet. Though her silver hair was hidden by dye, she couldn’t do anything about her eyes.
Helion was known for bringing women with silver hair and grey eyes into his bedroom. It was too detailed and obsessive to be a mere preference.
Katie surmised that he was looking for traces of herself in those women.
She didn’t quite understand why he was so fixated on the appearance of the woman he had betrayed with his own hands, but one thing was certain.
Nothing good would come from him recognizing her face. She might be dragged to his bed, or if she was truly unlucky, her identity might be suspected.
‘Please, just pass by.’
However, contrary to her wish, Helion slowly rose from his languid posture. And then, he began to walk slowly towards the two of them.
The man carried a faint scent of cigar mixed with the fresh smell of grass. The two scents, which shouldn’t have blended at all, harmonized perfectly with Helion as their medium.
