Chapter 82 🔞
Side Story 1. Courtship
His heart pounded as if it would burst.
Russell was running desperately.
Then, at some point, the scenery changed.
Ah.
A sigh escaped him.
He knew this moment.
This road he had once run down, these ragged breaths threatening to tear from his lungs—there had only ever been one time like this in Russell’s life.
Marie.
The Omega who had run away from him.
The road to find her.
It felt as though his veins had frozen solid.
She was right before his eyes.
Rejecting him.
The touch that slipped farther and farther away, the woman’s wide, trembling eyes. The scent of fruit brushing sadly past his nose belonged to her—the owner of his heart.
No.
She was falling.
Unable to do anything, he could only watch as she drifted farther away. Refusing the hand he reached out to her, Marie met his gaze and let out a grief-stricken scream.
Those golden eyes were filled with reproach.
Why did you do that? Why did you hurt me?
She rejected him with all her being.
The sight tormented him as though he had been stabbed through the heart, leaving him unable to do anything.
I was wrong. I’m sorry.
Beyond his ragged breathing, she spoke.
‘I hate you. I hate you for hurting me. So let me go. Let me go!’
He couldn’t do that.
No. No, Marie!
Please don’t leave me!
“…Hah.”
When he opened his eyes, a familiar ceiling came into view.
The thunderous pounding echoing in his ears belonged to Russell himself.
Awareness slowly returned. A dream. Yes, it had been a dream. A memory from that time—the moment he had almost lost Marie before his very eyes.
‘Damn it.’
What a weak mind. Was he still dwelling on the past?
But he did not even want to imagine it. What would have become of him if he had failed to save Marie back then? The nightmares born from the terror of that moment still gnawed at him. The mere thought of that possibility was enough to make him nauseous.
‘Was I always this weak?’
The moment a low groan escaped him, a warm sensation washed over his body, pulling him back to reality.
Ah.
The soft, delicate movement of a woman’s body rubbing gently against his hard, rock-like muscles. The sensation of his sensitive lower body being tightly enveloped. There was no mistaking who it was.
His lover.
“Ha…”
Together with that warm, pliant sensation came the comforting feel of her inner walls snugly surrounding the most primal part of him, damp and welcoming. A sigh escaped him. It felt so good that he could melt.
At the same time, vivid memories of the passion they had shared the night before flashed through his mind.
The woman beneath him, weeping as she released her sweet pheromones. Himself, parting her legs and thrusting his swollen, aching arousal deep inside her. The memory alone was enough to make heat surge through him.
‘Right. It was only a dream.’
The fear and confusion that had consumed him vanished in an instant.
Letting out a deep breath, Russell wrapped his arms around the woman who was practically imprisoned within his embrace. It was comforting.
“Mmm.”
As he pulled her closer, the part of him still intimately nestled inside her shifted.
The Omega’s warm, enveloping passage, which had been holding him so obscenely, grew slick as it tightened around him with a wet sound.
Haa…
From tip to base, the dizzying sensation of being warmly squeezed and drawn in made him swell as though he might burst.
A dull ache pulled at his lower abdomen. The soft pleasure spreading all the way to his toes was so intense that, the moment he opened his eyes, he felt as though he might become a beast.
He buried his face in her thick hair and let out a low groan.
The scent of his Omega, maddening and irresistible to his instincts, hung heavily in the air, her pheromones rich and lingering.
“Mmm… Your Highness…”
“I’m here.”
At her sleepy murmur, the veins in his neck stood out. He felt as though he might burst. He barely managed to restrain the urge to move his hips like a beast and seek relief at once.
“I’m right beside you.”
Caressing her slender waist, so delicate it seemed as though it might break, Russell slid a hand forward and covered her narrow abdomen. Then he began the now-familiar routine.
Releasing his pheromones gently—not enough to overstimulate her, but softly and steadily, enough to satisfy the life growing within her.
As his pheromones slowly spread, the sleeping Omega’s pale waist trembled faintly. Her sensitive passage tightened deliciously around the flesh nestled deep within her.
“Ahh…”
“That makes things difficult.”
