Chapter 192
Screaming internally, Jaha hesitated.
Should she stop him? Rush over and grab him? But wouldn’t that make her seem even more suspicious? Yet, if she did nothing and he found the book inside…
Frozen halfway out of her seat, torn between action and inaction, she watched as his fingers touched the drawer.
Click. He quietly pushed it shut and returned to his seat. Tilted his head at Jaha’s awkward posture.
“What’s wrong, Jaha?”
“Well… You got up so suddenly without a word. I wondered what was happening.”
“I noticed the drawer was slightly open, so I went to close it.”
“You could see that from here? You’ve got the eyes of a hawk.”
She deliberately exaggerated her surprise. After all, she had yet to meet someone who disliked praise.
“Eyes of a hawk? Meaning sharp vision?”
“That, or keen observation—exceptional perceptiveness.”
“An interesting expression. Then shall I put that perceptiveness to use once more?”
The man smirked and brushed his fingers against Jaha’s cheek.
“You’ve got an eyelash here.”
“Ah… Take it off for me.”
His thumb brushed under her eye, the silk glove grazing her skin with a whisper-soft touch.
Just as she parted her lips to thank him, his fingers swept beneath her eye again. The teasing caress felt oddly indecent—and by the time she noticed the darkening glint in his gaze, her senses were already alight.
Every prior experience told her exactly what was coming next.
The fingers tracing her face slid into her hair, tucking a loose strand behind her ear before trailing slowly along the curve of it. Jaha shivered and shut her eyes.
She wasn’t opposed—far from it, she’d been anticipating this—yet she couldn’t shake the feeling of being a sacrificial lamb laid upon an altar.
His lips met hers, his tongue weaving in with practiced ease. Meanwhile, his hands had already slipped to her back, deftly undoing her buttons one by one—click, click. The skilled flick of his tongue, targeting every sensitive spot, left her mind hazy.
How does he keep getting better at this?
It had been overwhelming from the start, but now, just his kisses alone made her legs give out.
“Hng…”
Her trembling thighs failed her, and she clutched at his sleeves. As if waiting for this exact moment, he immediately hooked an arm around her waist.
It was a mildly sadistic habit of his—he never held her first unless she reached for him. Probably because he delighted in watching her fluster and cling to him.
Not that he’d ever let her actually fall, of course. But Jaha, ever the worrier, always caved and grabbed him first. And whenever she did, even with her eyes closed, she could feel his smug satisfaction—just like now.
‘Honestly, he’s kind of a jerk.’
For someone who dripped sweetness in daily life, he became a different person in these moments—mischievous, domineering, utterly unwilling to yield.
That stark contrast was part of his appeal, but it also left her uneasy. Unsettled.
“The bed—mmh… let’s go to the bed,” Jaha managed between kisses.
If she didn’t speak up now, he’d undoubtedly start right here.
“It’s still so bright outside, and you’re already looking for the bed. You must be burning up.”
With a sly grin, he lifted Jaha onto the table, then slid a hand beneath her skirt. Pushing the fabric up past her hips, he used his other hand to drag her damp panties down in one slow, deliberate motion.
Even without looking, she could feel the sticky wetness between her thighs, the evidence of her arousal clinging to her skin.
“To be this soaked in broad daylight…”
His voice, low and thick with heat, sent a shiver through her.
“Are you drooling for my c**k already?”
“It’s—ah—because of the kiss…”
“Just a kiss got you this worked up?”
He smirked, dragging his middle finger along her slit from bottom to top. Then, with deliberate provocation, he brought his silk-gloved hand to his mouth, licking the glistening wetness from his fingers with slow, sinful strokes of his tongue.
The sight of that devilishly red tongue lapping up her arousal made her clench between her legs.
“No one gets as filthy as you, Jaha.”
The refined tone clashed violently with the vulgar words. The dissonance was maddening—humiliating, pride-shredding enough to bring tears to her eyes, yet it also sparked a perverse thrill.
The shame and disgust she felt whenever he spoke to her like this, whenever he degraded her, were undeniably real. The fury that made her chest ache and her body tremble couldn’t possibly be fake.
And yet—
A strange, electric shudder raced down her spine. Her stomach twisted in sweet, guilty pleasure.
Unwilling to admit it, Jaha shook her head.
“No… I’m not—”
“Ah.”
He let out a soft, knowing sound, his eyes sliding shut smoothly.
“So this isn’t even filthy enough for you, Jaha?”
“What—hng—”
Jaha’s attempt to protest was cut short as his hand cupped her chest, stealing her breath.
