Amused by her shuddering, speechless state, he lifted her again.

With a wet shlck, their bodies separated, strands of fluid stretching between them. Only the tip remained inside as he adjusted her position—turning her to face him—before dropping her back down without hesitation.

The ruthless thrust punched into her, slamming against her cervix with a dull thud. Her vision sparked.

“Ah—ah…!”

“That good, huh? To make such a mess of your face?”

His satisfied gaze traced every detail of her ruin—her unfocused eyes, her slack mouth unable to close properly, drool glistening at the corner.

As he moved his hips slowly, watching her lewd expression, Jaha wrapped her arms around his neck. Pleased by this, he deliberately thrust harder. Each time his thick shaft plunged in and out, her flat stomach bulged and receded in rhythm.

“Hng, uhn, ahh—!”

Clutching his firm body, Jaha shuddered from the overwhelming pleasure. Unable to support herself, she relied entirely on his strength, mindlessly rocking with him—until suddenly, the ear cuff on his ear caught her eye.

After removing the pregnancy-prevention magic sigil from her lower abdomen, he had started wearing the ear cuff again. It was originally a magical tool used for contraception. Jaha reached up, brushing her fingers against it. The cold, lifeless metal.

Startled by the unexpected touch, he tensed, holding his breath as if frozen.

Jaha fiddled with his ear before slipping the cuff off. A purely impulsive act—yet his gaze flickered, as if interpreting something more.

She could guess what misunderstanding was forming. “Even without this, we’re different species—pregnancy is practically impossible. I just took it off, that’s all.” She debated whether to clarify, to crush any foolish hope before it took root—but then he abruptly pulled her into a crushing embrace.

Breathless, she tried to push away, tilting her head up to speak—only for him to capture her lips, as if he’d been waiting. His uncanny anticipation of her every move left her exasperated. “Fine, but I still need to say—” Just as she resolved to shove him away, reflexively opening her eyes—something warm dripped onto her cheek.

At first, she thought she imagined it. But then, not just once—steady, silent streams trailed down from above, and the taste of salt seeped into their kiss. The hands she’d pressed against his chest to push him away instead felt the frantic pounding of his heart.

Jaha decided to let him stay lost in his sweet delusion.

After removing the ear cuff, he completely lost his senses and pounced like a beast. He came inside her, came inside her, came inside her again… F*****g her in every position countless times until bubbles foamed and milky fluid sloshed inside, yet he still poured more in. Exceeding capacity until it overflowed, he lifted Jaha’s lower half as if trying to force it all back inside.

She almost sneered, “Why not just stand me upside down?”—but didn’t even have the strength to part her lips.

The room was dim, and he lay quietly beside her. Or perhaps he was only pretending to sleep. He knew Jaha disliked being disturbed while lost in thought.

She gingerly touched her stomach. Even though she had thoroughly washed everything out, it still felt uncomfortably full.

She hadn’t forgiven him—so why had she removed the contraceptive ear cuff? Even she didn’t understand her own actions.

Because it wouldn’t happen anyway?

But nearly impossible wasn’t the same as zero possibility.

If, by some infinitesimal chance, she did get pregnant—would she then marry this man?

Jaha still hadn’t decided what to do with him. Once her revenge was complete—would she forgive and accept him? Or, with no further use for him, would they simply part ways?

Honestly, neither option felt easy.

She couldn’t hate him to death. She couldn’t dismiss him indifferently like a stranger. And she couldn’t love him enough to bury the past.

Like this, she might never be able to choose anything.

Neither Yoo Jaha nor this man could move forward.

‘Then maybe…’

Perhaps leave the decision to the heavens—no, to the will of this world’s so-called gods. If fate defies all odds, if by a chance slimmer than threading a needle, a child were conceived between different species… then, in that case, she would…

Jaha blinked slowly, recalling a conversation she’d had with Istina not long ago.

“But Master, why did you buy cigarettes anyway?”

During lunch, Istina grinned as she struck up the conversation.

“If something’s troubling you, I’ll lend an ear. As payment for those premium tobacco leaves—just while this lasts.”

She held a hand-rolled cigarette, having prepared it at some point.

She looked so carefree and at ease that Jaha, without realizing it, let slip the words bottled inside.

About her relationship with someone who’d committed an unforgivable wrong.

“Hmm, well. This might just be sophistry, but…”

Istina listened quietly as she smoked, then replied impassively:

“If you really can’t forgive them, then there’s no need to think twice—just don’t. End it without forgiveness. But if you can’t end it that cleanly… doesn’t that mean you actually want to forgive them? You just need time.”

Haa— The exhaled smoke dissolved into the air without a trace.

“Time for Master’s heart to prepare itself to forgive.”

Bathed in the faint glow of the nightlight in the darkness, Jaha’s face looked peaceful for the first time in ages.

I kind of expected this ending! Not sweet, just bitter and open. Deep down, though, I was hoping to see the two of them together, with kids, completely in love. But I get it… Jaha was never the type to go for a fairytale ending. Rikanan failed her in every possible way, and yes, he did suffer in the end, and he deserved it. Still, I can’t lie… a part of me really wanted to see them happy together. I got so attached to this story, even with its twisted kind of love. It hurt, but I loved it.
