Chapter 96
To avoid disturbing him, Jaha quietly stood at an appropriate distance. A slave couldn’t sit without their master’s permission. The rule in such situations was to wait until matters were concluded.
“Sit wherever.”
The Emperor spoke without lifting his gaze from the documents.
Jaha hesitated over where to go. It couldn’t mean sitting on the floor, so her options were the couch where the Emperor sat or the chair opposite it. In short—the choice was between sitting beside the Emperor or across from him.
The couch was wide enough that sitting beside him would still allow some distance. But the thought of sharing seating with the Emperor made her too uncomfortable, so Jaha took the chair opposite instead. Of course, facing him directly wasn’t exactly comfortable either, but at least the table between them provided some psychological relief.
Just as Jaha lowered her eyes to quietly reflect on her time with Cedric—
“Did something pleasant happen?”
“Huh?”
“You seem to be in a good mood for some reason.”
The Emperor’s sharp observation made Jaha freeze.
Was this a ruler’s intuition?
Her body temperature spiked as if she might break into a sweat any moment, a shiver running down her spine.
“There was nothing special.”
The last traces of vulnerability vanished completely as Jaha’s face returned to its usual polite mask. The Emperor burned with frustration.
It had been the first clue he’d found. Letting it slip away now would be a waste.
Had there been something in the bath that pleased her?
Did she like the new bath salts?
What had made her feel this way?
Jaha’s guess was only half right. The Emperor did possess keen insight—but he wasn’t so idle as to use it observing the moods of mere slaves. The reason he had noticed even the slightest change was simple: he was paying that much attention to Jaha.
He wanted to know what she liked.
He wanted to know how to make her happy.
He wanted to see that stone-faced woman break into a bright smile.
No—even just a hint of a smile would do.
He had to grasp at least that much.
Otherwise, he would wear himself ragged.
Though he never voiced it aloud, his actions were nearly indistinguishable from begging.
Begging with all sorts of precious offerings just to earn a single smile was less the virtue of a master and closer to that of a slave. He vaguely sensed this truth himself. Nominally, she was the slave and he the master—but in reality, perhaps things weren’t so clear-cut.
Yet his pride refused to dwell on it, choosing instead to look away.
No matter what, he was the Emperor, and she was a slave. This hierarchy would never be overturned.
“Come sit on my lap.”
He was the master.
Jaha was the slave who had to obey his every command.
The authority in this relationship belonged solely to him.
When Jaha obediently approached and settled onto his lap, the Emperor seized her and claimed her lips in a deep kiss. His fingers trailed downward, finding her already wet. As he pushed a finger inside, he could feel her walls clenching tightly around him, gradually growing slicker.
With shallow thrusts of his fingers, he continued the intoxicating kiss. The way Jaha’s hips trembled, her body tightening around him, was unmistakable. When he finally broke the kiss, he pressed his lips along her neck, tracing her jaw before whispering into her ear—
“Not enough?”
He curled his finger inside her, pressing deeper.
“Do you really think something this small can satisfy you?”
“Ngh—hng…”
“You need something thicker. Longer. Something that’ll stretch you to your limit, pounding deep until it hits the very back of you.”
Jaha bit down hard on her lip.
Pleasure—repeatedly, thoroughly imprinted into her body—made her flesh respond before her mind could resist. But the moment she parted her lips to answer, rationality caught up, warning her. Don’t. You can’t surrender to mere lust and sell your pride. Remember everything this man has done to you.
The Emperor pressed his lips to her ear again, murmuring—
“Say you want it. I’ll give you pleasure beyond comparison. I’ll f**k you until there’s no time for your slick to dry, until every hole is dripping with me. You’ll weep like a w***e when you’re left empty without my c**k.”
Jaha clenched her teeth. That will never happen.
It wasn’t that the pleasure he offered was lacking—it was because Yoo Jaha’s dignity as a human being stood above it.
Unless he drugged her again, rendering her mind too hazy to think straight, she would never willingly beg for him. The moment she did so in full awareness of herself would never come.
