Chapter 21
The voluminous folds of her dress pooled on the floor, leaving her clad only in her undergarments. Jia wiggled her toes, her gaze fixed on him as he approached, the holy sword gleaming in his hand.
Is he going to stab me while we do it this time? The thought flitted through her mind, a strange sense of resignation washing over her. She accepted the proffered sword. He nudged her shoulder lightly, and she obediently lay back on the bed.
“Stab me with this whenever it hurts.”
Her underclothes disintegrated under a spell, leaving her bare. Jia nodded, her eyes on the tattered remnants of her garments.
The Emperor’s lips claimed hers. Squeezing her eyes shut, she parted her lips, granting him access. His tongue explored her mouth, tracing familiar paths, tasting, swallowing, just as it had the day before. She heard him gulp.
Curiously, a sweetness lingered on his tongue. Jia cautiously opened her eyes, meeting his blue gaze.
“Do you taste sweet?”
“…Yes.”
Since arriving in Erendia, she hadn’t tasted anything sweet, not even a simple candy. The sweetness on his tongue felt strangely out of place. Yesterday, she’d been too preoccupied with breathing to notice.
“So do I.”
Their lips met again, a deeper, more consuming kiss. His hand cupped her b****t, kneading it firmly. A whimper escaped her lips as she drew her knees up. His thigh pressed between them, then his knee nudged her intimately.
“Ah….”
The mere pressure of his knee sent a tightening sensation through her core. It seemed that even a single encounter had been enough to initiate a strange sort of acclimation.
And perhaps that was for the best. She didn’t want a repeat of yesterday’s pain.
Acceptance came swiftly. Her three years in Erendia hadn’t been entirely wasted. She had learned the art of resignation, of adaptation, lessons unknown in her former life on Earth.
He chuckled, the pressure of his knee intensifying.
“You’re wet.”
“Ah….”
“Fortunate for you, isn’t it?”
Her legs parted further. Jia blushed, her gaze fixed on the glistening skin of his knee.
Then, the object of her apprehension nudged against her, its tip already weeping, slickening her entrance.
“You’re strange in many ways.”
“….”
“Almost as if you were made for me.”
Despite the suspicion lacing his words, his tone held a subtle intrigue. Jia gripped the sheets as his tip breached her entrance.
“Hngh, hng…”
It was overwhelming, but not as painful as yesterday. Struggling to breathe, she focused on the painting on the ceiling, noticing details she’d missed before. A crowned emperor, silver-haired and blue-eyed, similar yet different from the man above her. The first emperor, she surmised. Sensing her gaze, the Emperor’s lips curved into a smile.
“Rodrigo Balbersa. The first emperor, founder of Eustanville.”
Balbersa… The name was familiar. Ethan had mentioned the Balbersa Knights.
“Indeed. The dogs who call themselves my left hand are the Balbersa Knights.”
He pushed deeper. Jia whimpered, arching her back. Now she could see a laurel wreath in the painting.
A symbol of victory, scattered around the first emperor. As if celebrating, the God Erun smiled, holding a fig. And the man beside him…
“Ahh, hngh, ah…”
She could no longer afford such distractions. A whimper escaped her as she instinctively tightened around him. The Emperor groaned, his voice thick with pleasure.
“Do you know my name?”
“Hngh, ah, no… I…”
“Dinuel Devan Balbersa Eustanville.”
Jia looked up at him. Dinuel… The name slipped out, a soft murmur. He smiled.
“I will grant you the use of my name. You are an exception.”
He was fully inside her now. She gasped, her legs trembling.
Heat coiled in her belly, a burning sensation that threatened to consume her. Just bearing his presence was a struggle, but then he withdrew, only to thrust back in, the friction of his movements sending waves of unfamiliar sensations through her.
“Hah…”
