Chapter 2.15
***
It was a long time later when I came to my senses with a headache that rivaled a hangover.
“Ah……!”
Along with a cracked voice, I felt a sharp pain radiating from deep within my private parts, as if my body were being split in two.
Before I could even guess the reason why, I rolled my eyes to check the time.
It had already been three hours since I entered the tea house that Demian used as his private space.
My head was spinning as if I had blacked out after drinking heavily, but I began to piece my memories together one by one.
‘I was chasing a sudden, powerful surge of demonic aura in the middle of the picnic, and it led me here.’
Of all things, the one that had appeared in Demian’s tea house was a Lust-type demon that seemed to be at least Transcendent-grade.
The moment I struck it, a massive amount of Demonic Energy had erupted.
And then…….
“……!”
As I continued my train of thought, my eyes flew open and I bit my lip.
It would have been better if I couldn’t remember anything at all, but perhaps because of the Blessing of the First flowing through my body, fragments of memory from the moment I was possessed by the Demonic Energy remained.
The flashbacks were filled with nothing but the color of flesh. And the image of a man who provided me with incessant pleasure surfaced.
A high nose bridge and a sleek jawline that looked as if God himself had sculpted them.
Red eyes reminiscent of embers in the dark, and black hair damp with sweat clinging to his face.
His bloodshot eyes twitching in time with the rhythm of my body shaking……. What the hell did I just do with the final boss?
The moment I realized I had done something completely outside of my plans, my gaze dropped toward my body, which felt as heavy as lead.
A firm forearm, etched with scars here and there, was wrapped around my body.
The sound of soft, rhythmic breathing reached my ears.
“…….”
So, Demian was in a deep sleep, holding me.
Demian’s senses should be much sharper than mine, so the fact that he wasn’t waking up seemed to be an aftereffect of being possessed by the Demonic Energy as well.
‘It seems like I’ve purified all the Demonic Energy I inhaled with the power of the Blessing.’
It appeared to be true that Demian didn’t possess even a shred of Holy Power.
After confirming that he was sleeping as deeply as if he’d been anesthetized, I carefully lifted his arm, which was so solid and thick it reminded me of a sandbag.
Then, I quickly picked up my clothes scattered on the floor and put them on, grabbing my shoes that he had stripped off.
My face turned beet red when I saw the sofa, which had been pushed back two full steps from its original position.
‘Ahem, ahem.’
Even as I hurriedly slid my legs into my unripped stockings, the details of what I had done with Demian came flooding back.
The final villain of the story, someone I had hoped to avoid getting involved with beyond maintaining a reasonably friendly relationship.
I should have felt that sleeping with such a man was an absolute catastrophe, but my mind was less chaotic than expected.
It was a sudden incident caused by Demonic Energy that I couldn’t have avoided anyway.
And it was because the few hours I spent as a beast driven by instinct…… were so incredibly, unspeakably satisfying.
Even after I finished getting dressed, I found myself constantly ruminating on the overwhelming stimulation Demian had provided.
Just picturing it again made my body heat up as if it were preheating, and my heart hammered so fast it felt like it would pop out of my chest.
If the person I’d messed up with hadn’t been Demian but some other man, I might have felt a lingering attachment and waited until he woke up.
‘But since my partner is a man I shouldn’t get entangled with, I have to forget it.’
I took one last look at Demian sleeping in his disheveled state before standing up.
It was a stroke of great luck that both Demian and I were safe after facing a Transcendent-grade Demon, so I decided to focus on that.
‘I hope you wake up after a good sleep and remember nothing.’
I released a bit of my Blessing toward Demian, who must have exhausted his strength in many ways, and stood up.
Then, suppressing a pain I was experiencing for the first time in my life, I checked all the entrances and windows of the tea house.
As I went up to the second floor to check the windows, I heard the Holy Knights talking outside.
“Damn it, where do these things keep coming from?”
“Still, it looks like the garden area is finally being cleared out, doesn’t it?”
I was able to roughly grasp the situation through their conversation.
‘It looks like a huge number of demons appeared in the Western Garden where the picnic was held.’
Since the children of the nobility were gathered there, the Holy Knights seemed to have focused their defense on the Western Garden and wiped out the demons nearby, and only now were they beginning to sweep other areas.
As most of the Holy Knights had been tied up in the garden, it seemed it would be easy to gloss over what I had been doing for the past few hours.
‘It’ll be best to pretend I was dealing with the demons in the surrounding area.’
