Chapter 2.17
Images of major figures from the Yvelun Imperial Family, who had died young and infamously due to their promiscuous bodies, flashed through his mind.
Demian, who was cursing his own fallen and impure body, soon let out a hollow laugh.
Faced with an absurd situation, his mind began to desperately deny reality.
Me sleeping with a woman? No way.
I know better than anyone that my body would become hopelessly impure once it falls.
It can’t be. It’s not.
I’ve been thinking about Levi Heron quite often lately, so I must have just had a vivid dream.
Demian, trying his best to deny reality, pulled back the white cloth covering his lower body.
However, something else was waiting there to fluster him even more.
“……What is this huge thing now?”
Demian had always trusted his senses—senses that had developed sharply as he survived numerous threats while living as an imperial prince with a relatively weak political foundation.
But the sight revealed when he pulled back the white cloth covering his lower half was hard to believe.
He doubted his eyes and re-checked his body several times.
What on earth was this?
From just above his pelvis, passing between his legs and reaching down to his thighs, a dark blue-purple pattern he had never seen before was etched into him.
Since it didn’t smudge or erase when he tried to wipe it, it seemed to be deeply engraved into his skin like a tattoo.
As it was a situation difficult to accept, Demian denied reality once more.
Did I spill some ink while taking a nap?
Maybe dye from the uniform I was wearing got on my skin.
But no matter how much he rubbed, the pattern covering his lower half would not disappear.
In fact, every time he touched it, he felt a faint trace of Demonic Energy, which made him feel unpleasant.
Looking closely, the pattern was shaped exactly like a giant snake.
A giant snake.
The thick Demonic Energy it had been emitting.
“Ugh…….”
A sharp pain flared, and a flash went off in his mind.
In that instant, Demian was able to fully recall a piece of memory he should have forgotten.
While he was resting for a moment in the tea house ahead of the picnic, Levi Heron had appeared out of nowhere.
And, having been hit by the Demonic Energy emitted by a Lust-type demon that seemed to be Transcendent-grade or higher, he had been driven mad with the desire to touch her.
Normally, one wouldn’t remember what they did when hit by Demonic Energy, but the scenes coming back to him were crystal clear.
“……Touching… just a little is okay.”
For some reason, remembering her readily giving permission caused a surge of heat to rush to the center of his body.
“……!”
Demian shook his head vigorously to dispel the e****c scenes that followed.
Even though the fact that he had caused a major incident with her while possessed by a Lust-type demon remained unchanged, remembering the process made him feel slightly less confused.
‘Should I say it’s a relief that I didn’t forcibly take her while I was a dog driven by lust?’
Demian tried his best to calm his chaotic mind.
Spending a night with a young lady he wasn’t particularly close to…… was a very bothersome matter, but it didn’t seem impossible to clean up.
How long had he been harassed by Frid’s inner circle and his supporting factions? He was confident that he could cover up a single mistake with the experience and sophistication he had built up.
Especially since Levi Heron was a lady with an unrequited love for Frid, wouldn’t she want to keep the mistake she made under the influence of Demonic Energy a secret from others?
More than that, there was something else that needed urgent attention.
“Ha…….”
What exactly was this snake-shaped pattern on his lower body?
Was it some kind of infectious disease spread by demons?
No, he had never heard of a disease that caused tattoos to appear on the body.
Demian glared at the hideous and simultaneously tacky pattern before slowly putting on his clothes.
This pattern that had appeared on his body out of nowhere was clearly related to the demon he had encountered.
‘It’ll be quite a sight if other humans find out about this.’
The moment it became known to the world that traces of a demon had appeared on his body, the faithful image he had built up would plummet into the abyss.
Those humans who already claimed he was cursed and impure because he was a prince born on the day demons ran rampant would surely rush in to tear him apart even more.
The moment that happened, his support rating would nose-dive, and the Crown Prince Competition would result in Frid’s victory without question.
‘Is it the top priority to remove this snake-shaped mark as quickly as possible without letting anyone find out?’
Demian looked around. Levi Heron, who might have seen the snake mark, had vanished without even leaving a note, let alone waiting for him to wake up.
He would have been even more flustered if she had been staring at him blankly without leaving, so should he be grateful that she had disappeared on her own?
