Chapter 52
Though it was a magical tool that could store and play videos, it was too expensive to be widely used.
The video the Prince began playing on this expensive magical device was… a scene of a train in motion. Presumably, it was footage of the finished product made with the component sitting in the center of the room.
“Can you see it clearly? This is Similton Company’s new product with Litrel processing applied to the engine. I recorded this footage myself at the recent Central Exhibition. Look, can you see the precision of these parts here? Even the casting…”
…….
…Huh? He might have dozed off a bit. While the Prince’s explanation was boring, his body being trash probably contributed to his drowsiness.
The Prince was still talking. He had quite the talent for making interesting things sound tedious.
“It’s twice as fast as the Ickles products currently used in the Empire, and its magical power capacity is about three times higher. While there have been many transport devices developed using magic stones in the past, most never became businesses due to cost issues, but this time is different.”
The Prince seemed ill-suited to being a prince. Seeing his happy expression, he seemed better suited to being a businessman or a salesman. How unfortunate. May he have a quick reincarnation.
“The processing itself goes through a simple, low-cost procedure, so the main issue is securing Litrel. That’s why I came personally to explain the business to the Grand Duke.”
It seemed this Litrel substance was produced abundantly in the Grand Duchy. His brother might own a significant share of it.
“The most important aspect of investment is profitability. I understand that. But what I want to convey is the vision. A future where railways extend from the Grand Duchy, connecting the Empire and kingdoms, crossing Silveron, and reaching the Western territories.”
The Prince raised his finger and pointed at the map.
Those sparkling eyes showed about three times more vitality than when he had talked about future poetry with Ja-hyun.
After staring at that face for a while, Ja-hyun thought of the perfect word to describe this Prince.
The Empire’s beautiful Third Prince with platinum blonde hair and purple eyes.
Ezekiel, who lost his head in the succession struggle in his past life… was actually a train enthusiast.

Grand Duke Izatrix glanced down at Raijin sitting on the sofa while watching the Third Prince’s explanations. He was dozing, leaning against the sofa, appearing tired. Though it was rude behavior before an Imperial Prince, no one here pointed out Raijin’s actions.
This was because anyone could see he was a pale invalid as he slept quietly with calm breaths. It was a natural result, given that he usually spent more than half his days sleeping and struggled to walk around the mansion on his own.
The Grand Duke observed that face taking shallow, dry breaths, then side-eyed his body. Since he couldn’t die yet, the Duke had carefully selected and fed him foods he liked to put on weight. Thanks to keeping him nearby during work hours, he’d managed to make him eat more than four times a day under the pretense of tea time.
But even that hard-earned weight had fallen away again around yesterday. To think he’d been ill and couldn’t even keep down a single bowl of soup, let alone eat it properly.
He ordered all the mansion’s doctors to conduct new examinations and prescribe treatments.
‘It appears to be largely psychological. If you could create a more comfortable environment…’
Though not numerous, each doctor here was a graduate of the Imperial Medical University, cream of the crop among the elite. If they had no proper answer, that suggestion must be the best they could offer.
How difficult it was to keep just one life tethered.
His brother, Raijin El Izatrix, was generally submissive to his orders and lacked strong personal opinions. Though the exact memories weren’t clear, that’s how it remained in his mind. But lately, his wants and desires have notably increased.
In the end, he had no choice but to grant some of his sick brother’s requests. Even if that wish was to make a friend at the end of his life…
His brother, who loved his own brother, rarely voiced expressions of love and never showed his affection in front of others. In a way, this was natural. While same-s*x relationships weren’t criminal, they weren’t exactly welcomed either. Let alone relationships between family members.
