Chapter 6
“I-I’ve never done anything like that before, and now you’re saying I have to… It’s just a bit…”
“Then that’s even better for me.”
With every blink of his eyes, his thick lashes sparkled like they’d been dusted with crushed amethyst.
“Didn’t you say you wanted to touch me?”
His voice, thick and sweet as molasses, slid into her ears like a velvet whisper. His face right before hers was so vivid that Theticia thought her heart might burst through her chest.
“Or are you simply… afraid?”
Yes. That was it. The reason she couldn’t decide was because she was afraid.
If she had to point it out, what scared her the most was that thick pillar of flesh swaying between his thighs. The bulbous, flushed tip gleamed like a lacquered helmet mushroom, and veins like tangled briars rose along the thick, curved shaft.
If things went wrong, it looked like it could skewer her like a spit. Could something like that even fit inside her?
“Th-that… It’s just… Your Grace, it’s too big. I don’t see how dying and sleeping with you are any different.”
Her voice quivered as she glanced at his g***n, her face flushed red, and beads of cold sweat streamed down her cheeks. Amused, Asmod let out a chuckle.
Fear was the exact opposite of how an Incubus survived. The lust he needed came only from natural pleasure. He already knew that what she feared wasn’t death.
“I promise, not a single hair on you will be harmed. Do you think I’d swear falsely?”
His voice was so sharp it felt like he would cut her down if she even hinted at doubting him. Theticia quickly shook her head.
“N-no, not at all!”
Think positively. Someone with a face like that wouldn’t be rough with a woman. She would be prepared when it came time to go to Kraven anyway. He even said she could touch his face again.
‘More than anything… he’s someone whose face I can actually see.’
Better this than forming some disgusting connection with a man whose face she couldn’t even recognize. No. This opportunity felt almost like a stroke of luck.
With newfound resolve, Theticia gave a nod.
“I-I’ll do it! I will!”
Asmod’s crimson lips curved into a satisfied smile. His long, graceful hand reached beneath the water and took Theticia’s wrist. It was the first time she had ever held a man’s hand. It was cold and soft.
“The contract is sealed.”
In that instant, a bone-deep chill seeped from his grasp. Startled by the sensation, Theticia tried to pull her hand away, but his firm grip wouldn’t let go. From their joined hands rose a swirl of violet haze.
“…Magic?”
This is dangerous. Theticia’s instincts warned her.
As she looked up, she saw a golden light swirling in Asmod’s eyes. She’d seen that light before. When a mage at a magical artifact shop engraved flight magic into a pair of shoes, the same prismatic shimmer had danced across the center of his blurred face.
From between Asmod’s smiling lips came a dreadfully sweet voice.
“Speak your name.”
“…Theticia Pelloni.”
The voice that escaped her lips didn’t feel like her own.
“Archduke Asmodeus accepts this contract with you.”
The violet haze coiled and twisted, sinking into her wrist. A searing pain burst across her skin, and she yanked her hand away in haste.
“Ahhk…!”
On her wrist, a chain-like sigil glowed like a bracelet. It was unmistakably the brand of a contract. Something only a demon worshiper would ever bear.
“A mage? No… a demon?”
What could be a more fatal mistake than this? She hadn’t realized it in time, too panicked to think. No one who built a house in the middle of the contaminated land and lounged about in a bath could possibly be an ordinary human.
“You’re rather slow-witted for a human.”
Asmod’s massive frame leaned slowly toward Theticia. The ripple of water soaked her clothes, and she gasped, instinctively covering her wet chest with both arms.
“Are you… Are you going to ravish my soul? Like the demons in those novels?”
He let out a dry laugh at her horrified reaction. Trembling in fear like that, he found it quite endearing. Asmod teased.
“Perhaps. Though I’m not a demon… I am an Incubus.”
Theticia’s eyes widened in panic at his calm reply.
‘An Incubus? Isn’t that even worse?’
Before she could react, Asmod’s lips, cool and soft, pressed against hers before she could resist. His thick tongue slipped in, rudely invaded her mouth through lips parted in shock.
“Mmph…!”
A dizzying sweetness filled her senses, sending her mind reeling.
‘Wait… no…’
The unfamiliar sensation outran her instincts. Her limbs tingled, her thoughts blurred. Her whole body went limp, and with the last of her will, she whispered,
“H-how many times do we have to…?”
Every nerve screamed this wouldn’t end quickly. At her question, Asmod’s lips curled into a haughty smile.
“Until I’m satisfied, of course.”
She could hear her heart drop to the floor.
‘…I’m doomed.’
She should have known from the start. If the price was something she could trade for death, it wouldn’t end with just one night. If he never found satisfaction, the contract might go on forever.
The warning to never strike a deal with a demon existed for a reason.
A demon never made a contract that didn’t benefit them.
