Chapter 91
Evelyn, still holding onto his finger that was coated with her saliva, opened her eyes wide. Not a resident of the castle with whom she wasn’t on good terms, but a boundary guard. A bleak feeling washed over the nape of her neck—she had finally earned their hatred. She thought she had greeted everyone except for one person… Could it be that person? The one who didn’t even nod in acknowledgment?
“We’ll talk about it later. As you said, today is a joyful festival, so you can stop thinking about it now.”
His words were right. Cassis had the right to leave her side anytime, and now was that time. She had even told him to do so herself.
When Evelyn finally released the hand she had been holding all this time, he withdrew his slick fingers—but instead of wiping them clean with a handkerchief like a proper gentleman, he gently caressed her neck. The saliva she had sucked and licked onto his fingers now smeared against her skin, the sensation thick and intimate enough to make her pulse quicken. As he moved the plate that had been trembling unsteadily on her lap, the back of Evelyn’s hand gave a faint, anticipatory shudder.
And then—
“Mmm…!”
After setting the plate aside on the table, Cassis’ hands returned with singular focus—kneading, teasing the delicate column of her throat. Even as her most vulnerable point lay entirely at his mercy, Evelyn only grew drunk on the strange, intoxicating pleasure of it.
His touch, an unfamiliar prelude to desire, began to rouse sensations long dormant. Her eyes, which had been open and alert, started to blink slowly, heavily—until his voice cut in with a warning.
“Don’t fall asleep. I have no intention of singing you a lullaby.”
“Mmm… I won’t.”
No sooner had she mumbled the words than Cassis pressed his fingers back between her lips, demanding.
“Suck.”
Her eyes fluttered half-shut as she began to lick his fingers, the wet, obscene sounds of her mouth working over him like she was savoring some decadent dessert. He leaned in closer, his free hand sweeping up to grip the nape of her neck—the last untouched place.
He wanted to press his lips everywhere, to watch her shudder and gasp beneath him. He wouldn’t mind if Evelyn sobbed, overwhelmed by the pleasure crashing into her, if she cried out that she couldn’t take it anymore. The thought of reducing her to tears—this girl who always held herself so properly—was a filthy, reprehensible desire. But Cassis’ fantasies didn’t stop there.
He wanted to draw back the curtains shielding the terrace, to let the light flood in and set every ornament on his dress uniform ablaze—just for her. Then, with her eyes tightly shut, her body trembling, he’d force her to her knees before him, stroke her hair, and push himself past those small, parted lips.
And just like before, he’d command.
“Suck.”
“You’re insane.”
Why had he even thought of such an absurd thing—letting her take his most vulnerable part into her mouth? He was more than willing to pleasure her with his lips, but the reverse was out of the question. Just because he wouldn’t do it didn’t mean he scorned those who indulged in such acts behind the delphinium flower beds.
But if it ever came to that, what would the World Tree—the one who had watched over him endlessly—say? What about the blackthorn tree, the one that had cradled his beginnings and, however pitifully, helped him play the role of a knight? Why did he keep wanting to become a naked, raving madman in front of Evelyn? Cassis had no time to dwell on the source of the desire pooling thickly inside him. All he could do was act on it.
“Mmm, ahh…!”
His fingers finally scraped hard over the hollow of her nape. Evelyn’s lips, which had been sucking on his fingers, coughed lightly, splashing warm saliva onto the back of his hand.
Ah, Evelyn, you—
In the end, it felt inevitable that he’d have to commit some debauchery on this busy, sacred morning. Finally, should he count it as a small ritual before the grand opening of the Aika Festival? Cassis withdrew his fingers, slick with her tongue, and without hesitation, pushed up her negligee.
“We don’t have time for me to f**k you properly, so I’ll just look at you and finish. Focus on yourself.”
“Yes…”
The way her ears flushed crimson at his crude words—beautiful. He imagined biting into a freshly bloomed wild rose as he caught her earlobe between his lips, teasing. Strange. He hadn’t bitten into a raspberry, yet even here, he tasted sweetness.
Beneath the negligee—now shoved aside as if it had never been covering her—his fingers expertly found her c**t, rolling it relentlessly between his fingertips. The sight of her legs trembling unstably, the pillow wedged behind her back, thrilled him. Then, noticing Evelyn gripping the sheets so hard her knuckles whitened, he reached for her hand.
“Unclench your fingers, Evelyn. That’s it… Will you touch me too? You know we’re running out of time. I have to leave soon.”
“Ah—yes!”
The day he’d let her take his c**k between her lips like a dog would never come. But her hands were another matter. This was a whim he’d allow only for Evelyn.
