Chapter 49
Killian ravaged Adelaide’s mouth while roughly kneading her chest. The part of him, swollen to its full, intimidating size, drove in and out of her body, gradually picking up speed.
At last, when his p***s reached the deepest part of her, instead of withdrawing, he thrust even more greedily inward. At the same moment, she felt something hot spill inside her.
The cloudy fluid that filled her to the brim leaked out through the tightly joined gap with obscene sounds. It trickled down the curve of her backside, soaking into the wrinkled sheets beneath them.
A heavy weight settled over her slender body. Killian’s breath brushed against her ear as he lay over her.
At last, it was over. Adelaide closed her eyes. Darkness swallowed everything.

The fierce northern winter wind rattled the windows. Torches mounted on the walls flickered, sending chaotic shadows dancing across the room.
In the most secret chamber of the Grand Duke’s castle in Daerd, the Grand Duke sat in his chair, receiving reports from his subordinates.
They had carried out the operation under his orders, but since their target was someone about whom very little was publicly known, it had taken considerable time to uncover anything useful.
“So the Crown Prince’s marriage is actually quite different from what has been publicly presented. Especially from the Crown Princess’s perspective.”
The old man, his thick white hair framing his face, stroked his rough beard. His subordinate bowed even deeper.
“Yes, Your Grace. On the night in question, the Imperial Guard reportedly raided Count Eport’s estate after the Crown Prince claimed the count had conspired with us.”
The old man let out a short, incredulous laugh. Grand Duke Daerd’s gaze turned grim.
“That brat truly has no limits, does he?”
“Indeed. Furthermore, we found evidence suggesting he has been deeply involved with Crown Princess Adelaide Eport since her very early childhood.”
Tracking down former maids who had once worked for the Eport family had not been easy, but eventually, the subordinate managed to locate one who had been employed when Adelaide first arrived at the estate.
And through her, they learned something significant.
“After verifying her claims, it turns out Adelaide’s adoption was approved suddenly, without even the usual formal review. Around that same time, an unfamiliar young boy began visiting the Eport estate.”
“Killian.”
The young man standing to the Grand Duke’s right, half-hidden in shadow, stepped forward.
As the torchlight revealed one side of Fabian’s face, the subordinate nodded toward him.
“That’s correct, Your Highness.”
Your Highness.
Technically, Fabian—who had been stripped of the succession he should have inherited as the Grand Duke’s heir—had no right to that title. Yet no one in the room questioned it.
On the contrary, everyone behaved as though it were only natural.
“It seems he concealed his identity to approach the Crown Princess. In exchange for handing her over, the Eport family gained significant benefits. Though at some point, for reasons still unclear, the count appears to have changed his mind.”
“Hm.”
The Grand Duke let out a long sigh.
“Fabian. What do you think?”
“We don’t know all the details yet, but I believe it’s worth confirming.”
Though it had been the Crown Prince’s wedding, Fabian had not been invited, despite being of grand ducal blood himself
The official excuse had sounded plausible enough: the northern winter was harsh, and there were concerns the elderly Grand Duke’s health would suffer from such a long journey.
“I wonder if we are perhaps jumping to conclusions too quickly? It seems we need more information.”
Grand Duke Daerd’s normally steady voice carried a trace of concern. Fabian smiled faintly and draped an arm lightly around his grandfather.
“It’s Killian we’re talking about—that snake. I doubt we’ll uncover much more.”
If there was anyone in the world who understood exactly what kind of man Killian Nachtmann was, it was Fabian.
His father, consumed by madness, had once been Fabian’s greatest weakness. As a result, his father was killed, Fabian was stripped of his position as Crown Prince, and he and his grandfather were effectively driven into exile in this bleak northern land.
With the cold wind cutting across his face, Fabian had made himself a promise:
If he ever found Killian Nachtmann’s weakness, he would never let go.
Just as Fabian himself had fallen from the highest place into the mud, he would drag Killian down the same way.
And honestly, it had once seemed easy enough.
As a child, Killian had been arrogant, prideful, and quick to rise to even the smallest provocation, often causing concern among the nobles.
Fabian had gained plenty simply by standing beside him and appearing more mature by comparison. But at some point, Killian had changed.
