Hela sensed that something was wrong.
If she corrupts this one, Ashtel will definitely have something to say about it.
“Why… I haven’t done anything yet…”

But Hela would never do such a thing.

The collar had been torn off earlier by that large bird-like creature.

A glimmer briefly shone in Payne’s dark eyes.
The priest, who had wished for death, lowered his body and slowly began to draw upon his divine power.

At that moment, Ashtel cried out near the lava river by the misty area.
“Didn’t they fall around here? Have they entered the fog zone?”
“Maybe, but Hela is here, so it should be fine, right?”
“What if Hela couldn’t catch Payne? What if she missed him?”
With her worries pouring out in a mix of sobs, Carmen crossed her arms and sighed.
“That’s not possible. She can use magic, so would she really let him slip away?”
“Haha, youngest. Don’t worry. You have to trust Hela!”
But even if she did catch him, it would be problematic.
“They’d be left alone together!”
It wasn’t that she didn’t trust Hela.
In fact, she was sure that Hela would take better care of Payne than Carmen or Matys.

Matys widened her eyes and pointed behind Ashtel.
Amidst the bubbling heat of the flowing lava waterfall, Hela’s head emerged, matching the color around her.
She looked restless, glancing around until her eyes met Ashtel’s, at which point she jumped in surprise.
Then, she quickly flew over to her.
“Sue, where’s your human?!” “Sister, where’s Payne?!”
The two of them spoke simultaneously, blinking in shock as their faces turned pale.
“Wait a minute. Why are you looking for Payne? Did you lose him?”
“No, I caught him in mid-air, but then he entered the fog zone…”
“Entered?”
“Um…”
Hela stumbled over her words, glancing at Ashtel before bowing her head in apology.
“I’m sorry, Sue. He escaped.”
“What?!”
“He suddenly released his divine power…”
Ashtel’s vision momentarily blurred as panic washed over her.
She immediately commanded the monsters to chase him down, but they couldn’t find anything.
“He’s not just an ordinary priest, right? That level of power is bishop-class.”
“Is it because he’s in the fog zone?”
“Yeah…”
“Oh dear.”
Carmen and Matys sighed in unison.
The fog zone is close to the Asti sisters’ territory, but on one side lies the lava river, and on the other, a cliff of screams.
No matter where he went, he wouldn’t be able to escape in a human body.
“Plus, with the fog’s poison, he probably won’t be able to move much at all. We need to find him as soon as possible.”
As Matys muttered this, Carmen nodded in agreement.
But it seemed Hela still had something to say, as she scratched her neck and added,

“Already affected by the poison?”
“No. He was in the process of corruption.”
“Corruption?!”
A high-pitched scream escaped Ashtel’s lips.
She was clearly not in her right mind.
She had brought Payne all the way to the demon realm to erase his memories and return him to a peaceful life, and if he died like this, she felt she wouldn’t be able to bear the sadness.
“Did you do it? Did you corrupt Payne?”
Ashtel’s eyes turned red. The tears streaming down her face were as hot as the flames around her.
As the small, dark horns began to reveal themselves on her forehead, her sisters held their breaths.
