Chapter 128
‘I haven’t really done much so far.’
Aside from giving him oral and teasing his rear, Ashtel hadn’t touched Payne much, except for a little penetration.
Payne would probably vehemently deny it if he heard, but she was beginning to feel like she hadn’t given her all to him.
“…Is that so?”
And so, she let it slide.
—See? Right? How about trying what I told you before?
“What was that?”
—Well, for example…
Moablon, the third of the Asti sisters and notorious for her vast experience with men, whispered suggestive advice for what felt like an eternity.
By the time Ashtel had absorbed all of it and ended the communication, Payne, still left in the room, had grown suspicious and was peering cautiously out the window.
“Payne, are you done?”
When Ashtel suddenly poked her face in, Payne flinched, startled, and tried to calm his racing heart.
Embarrassingly enough, being in Ashtel’s bedroom made him finish quickly.
Still, it wasn’t enough to stop him from exploring his surroundings.
‘If the leash was just a bit longer, I could reach the blade in the drawer.’
A small dagger, kept for self-defense, was stored in the drawer next to the wardrobe.
The velvet leash around Payne’s neck was taut and short, allowing him only a few steps away from the bed.
At best, he could barely glance out the window.
If he wanted to escape, the first step would be to extend the leash.
“That ended sooner than I thought. Are you sure you’re done?”
“Yes, I am. Please don’t check.”
When Ashtel tried to peek past the window and down at him, Payne recoiled in alarm.
She was an unpredictable woman, impossible to let one’s guard down around.
“…Hey, Payne. About your wounds—do they still hurt?”
“My wounds? Ah…”
At her cautious question, Payne glanced down at his body.
Although still bandaged in places, thanks to Carmen’s treatment, the injuries from his fall off the cliff had healed considerably.
“They’re fine.”
His curt reply made Ashtel’s brows droop.
“Really? Can I take a look?”
“No.”
“Ugh. Please? I’m worried about you.”
“And what would you do even if you saw them…?”
Besides, showing his bare body was the last thing he wanted to do. It felt akin to offering himself up to a succubus, practically inviting her to devour him.
But Ashtel’s expression fell at his response. Her eyes widened briefly in surprise before dropping again, and her head hung low.
“…”
The silence, though not particularly significant, made it feel as if he had done something wrong.
If she was this worried, couldn’t she just do what she did last time and force him to undress?
‘Ah, is she blaming herself for what happened in the demon realm?’
She had apologized repeatedly, after all. It seemed that was why she was hesitant to touch him.
‘But she’s fine kissing me without hesitation.’
Payne watched Ashtel, who was dragging her feet, lost in thought for a moment before letting out a deep sigh.
He hated how he couldn’t ignore her, but he reminded himself that showing compliance was the only way to create an opening, so he spoke up.
“Please, come in.”
“Huh?”
“Feel free to look as you like.”
“Really?!”
Ashtel’s face brightened.
Her already pretty face glowed so brightly it almost seemed like the sun itself was shining through.
He had always thought her eyes were like the colors of sunset, but now he wondered if it was more like a sunrise.
Payne quickly snapped out of his thoughts and turned his head away.
“Payne, I’m going in now, so get undressed!”
“Yes.”
Her obedient response made the corners of Ashtel’s mouth rise even higher.
Payne sluggishly sat on the bed, habitually taking off his tunic and hanging it.
Should he ask her to lengthen the leash while he was at it?
But then Ashtel hurried into the bedroom from the kitchen, carrying a basket full of something.
“What’s that?”
“Medical supplies.”
Could it be the belongings of her succubus sister, Carmen?
If it was enchanted, it could be the source of corruption, so Payne furrowed his brow and examined the basket.
Inside, however, were just some bandages, gauze, and a transparent bottle of medicine.
“Did you buy this at a market for humans?”
“Yeah, it’s something commoners use.”
“Ah, a product for the lower class.”
“Yes. How about it? Do you think we can use it?”
“…Yes.”
Although he couldn’t fully confirm its contents, it didn’t seem too suspicious.
At Payne’s nod, Ashtel let out a sigh of relief.
‘Thank goodness. As expected of Sis Chacha.’
When she had asked if something like this could heal wounds, Chacha had said it would take a week of application, and Ashtel had suggested that it would be better to just use saliva instead.
Humans really did seem to get injured easily and take so long to heal.
‘Are they going extinct or something?’
Ashtel thought to herself as she gently sprayed the medicine on the gauze.
“Then, let’s start the treatment.”
By the way, her outfit was a nurse-nun’s uniform with a blue base and a prominent white apron.
