Chapter 134
Ashtel stopped walking.
“This should be fine.”
Before Payne could even ask what for, he suddenly dropped straight down.
Of course, he wasn’t hurt—Ashtel had used magic to cushion his fall.
Payne descended slowly, then stood up on both feet once he touched the ground. The moment his feet made contact, a cold breeze swept through the area, sending a chill down his spine.
“…Where is this place?”
“A place where humans probably won’t come?”
“Have we gone deep into the forest?”
“Yeah, probably.”
It was near their home, but this was Ashtel’s first time entering this part of the forest.
‘I’ve been too busy with my daily duties.’
As she thought this, she wondered about what had happened to Medialle since she had disappeared.
The head maid, who would rush if she was slacking off, the knights showing off their muscles for no reason, and the ugly priests who always made her frown.
The one who stood out the most was, of course, Duvalkan.
‘That Duval… He probably knows what’s going on with Payne and is looking for him.’
Wait, then shouldn’t they be escaping far from the cabin and away from the capital?
‘Wait a minute… didn’t they say something about a checkpoint at the city gates?’
This was becoming more complicated than she thought.
Ashtel sighed, brushing her chin as she pondered. Then she noticed Payne sneaking off somewhere and approached him.
“Payne, where are you going?”
“…I just want to go.”
It was a typical excuse for sneaking away.
But Payne thought it was the best course of action.
Having listened to Chacha’s lectures on human bodily needs, Ashtel had often given him a break without question whenever he needed it.
So, she expected it to be the same this time.
“Is that so?”
But for some reason, Ashtel’s smile deepened.
Of course, Payne couldn’t see her expression due to the blindfold, so he had no idea what was going on.
As he gently wrapped his arm around his own, he tensed at the sensation of a hand slowly brushing up his arm. He took in a shaky breath and furrowed his brow.
“But Payne… how do you plan to go, considering you can’t see?”
“I can manage.”
“Really?”
“Yes.”
As long as he could get out of Ashtel’s sight, he figured he could use his divine energy or explore the area on his own.
However, a voice interrupted him, and a drop of sweat formed on his forehead.
“Should I help?”
“Pardon?”
“With, you know, your business. I can help you.”
“Wha—what are you talking about?”
Flustered, Payne stammered and quickly shook his head, firmly rejecting her offer.
“No, I don’t want that. I don’t need your help.”
“Why not?”
“Why? Why would I show you something like that…?”
Surely, she couldn’t be serious. Judging by the cheerful, flowing laughter escaping her lips, it seemed like she was teasing him.
Payne had resolved to act compliant toward Ashtel, but the situation was so absurd it made his head spin. He clenched his teeth to ground himself.
“Absolutely not.”
“Are you sure you’re not desperate?”
“That’s why I’m asking you to let me go.”
“Hmm.”
Yet, for some reason, the back-and-forth continued, dragging out longer than he expected.
Payne felt a creeping unease settle over him.
“I won’t go far. I just need a moment.”
But there was no response.
Instead, Ashtel silently moved around him, her steps crunching softly on fallen leaves and grass.
“Ashtel?”
Finally, unable to contain his growing anxiety, Payne called out to her. Just then, a light touch reached him.
“Huh.”
The butterfly-like touch landed on his chest, loosening the ties at the front of his tunic.
Before he could react, slender, delicate fingers slipped under the fabric, brushing against his skin. His body reacted instinctively, goosebumps rising as a faint groan escaped his lips.
‘Damn it.’
Surely not. She wouldn’t actually… No, surely she wasn’t planning to tease him out here.
But, as they say, the worst fears often come true.
Ashtel pressed closer, her breath brushing against his ear as she whispered, “Hey, Payne. Since we’re already outside… why don’t we try something new?”
“Something… what?”
“I want to see you take a p-ss.”
She’s insane.
“Don’t be ridiculous.”
Why on earth would he ever let her witness such a thing?
“If this was your plan, I wouldn’t have come outside in the first place!”
“I know, I know. But look—there’s no one around, and there’s a nice patch of grass right here. Isn’t it perfect?”
No, it’s not.
Not even remotely.
Payne felt cold sweat trickle down his back, almost welling up into tears, as he bit his lip.
Meanwhile, Ashtel’s spider-like fingers trailed down his ribs, brushing dangerously close to his lower abdomen.
The only relief he could find was in the realization that his earlier excuse about needing to relieve himself was a complete fabrication.
‘It was just a pretense to explore the surroundings.’
While the situation had taken a frustratingly humiliating turn, he told himself to endure.
‘Once I’ve spilled a few times, she’ll be satisfied and back off.’
With that thought, Payne didn’t even notice that his resistance to such acts had weakened over time. He swallowed down a shaky breath.
“Payne, can I take your pants off?”
Why even bother asking, when she was already pulling them down?
