Chapter 219
“I’m sorry. I honestly have no idea.”
In the end, Chacha let her hands fall, unable to come up with any answers. She even retreated to avoid Ashtel’s growling, leaving Payne sweating nervously as he called for his lover.
“Ash, tel…”
“Yeah? Should we go to the bed?”
He nodded weakly—anything to be alone with her.
“Okay! Sisters, you stay here!”
“Sure.”
“Hurry up, Sue!”
Jo gave a curt nod while Nluie fluttered around like a fairy, waving her hands. The others kept their eyes on Payne, though Carmen and Roman just snickered as if enjoying the spectacle.
‘Is it because of that potion Carmen gave me earlier?’
He was about to ask Carmen, but instead, Payne tugged on Ashtel’s sleeve.
“Ashtel, come on.”
The way he looked at her was just like when he’d beckon her from his bed, making her heart skip for a moment, but she quickly gathered herself and led Payne into his bedroom.
As soon as they got there, Payne dropped to one knee and sank to the floor.
“Payne!”
“Ugh…”
“Are you alright? Are you really not feeling well? Should I go get the doctor?”
“N-no, it’s fine…”
“Then what’s wrong? Is your stomach hurting?”
She tried to support him, noticing how he clutched his lower belly, but Payne just bit his lip and looked away. He was clearly in discomfort.
“…Two hours…”
“Huh?”
“I have to hold it… for two hours.”
“Hold what?”
“The potion your sister gave me.”
So it was the potion from Carmen causing all this.
Ashtel helped him sit on the bed, listening carefully as he stammered out his explanation, despite the embarrassment.
“I drank the potion, and I was told I have to hold my pee for two hours.”
“Oh, so you really just need to pee?”
No wonder he’d been making such strange faces—he’d been holding something in all this time.
‘Wait, isn’t this actually kind of hot?’
She remembered teasing Payne before when he desperately needed the bathroom. She hadn’t actually gotten to watch him lose control back then, but it had been fun.
Of course, she wasn’t a succubus anymore and had no intention of tormenting him just for her own amusement.
“It’s been about forty minutes, right?”
“Yes.”
“Then you’ve only got an hour and twenty minutes left to go.”
Payne’s expression darkened. He pressed his knees together, wiped the sweat from his brow, and spoke quietly,
“I… don’t know if I can hold out that long.”
“Huh?”
“I think the potion acts as a diuretic.”
“So you really need to go?”
At that, Payne squeezed his eyes shut, clearly suffering.
‘Why do I even have to explain all this…’
His head felt cloudy from the pressure. In hindsight, it would’ve been better to just explain and stay in the other room alone.
Maybe Ashtel was just being so innocent about it because, as a new human, she’d never had to hold it before?
“…Ashtel, could you please leave for a bit?”
“What?!”
Instead of answering her questions, Payne suddenly tried to usher her out, making Ashtel jump in protest.
“Why? You said it’s just because of the potion! What if something’s wrong?”
“I just need to hang on for a bit longer. I’ll be fine, I just want to be alone.”
But Ashtel didn’t want to leave him alone—he’d stayed with her when she was sick, after all.
‘No, I’ll be strong for him this time!’
With that resolve, Ashtel refused to leave and instead began to seriously consider Payne’s overfull bladder.
“Payne, how do you even hold it in? Is it even possible to hold it that long?”
“…I don’t know.”
“Can’t you just go? Did Carmen say you have to hold it?”
Roman had insisted, but…
Payne didn’t reply, just turned away, unable to appreciate Ashtel’s concern for the first time.
How had things gotten to where they were discussing bathroom emergencies? He honestly wanted to just crawl into a hole and hide.
“I’ll take care of it myself, so please—just go.”
“But, Payne…”
Ashtel looked at him with droopy eyes, clearly worried as Payne bounced his leg restlessly.
Her calm, well-mannered Payne, now fidgeting from desperation—
‘He must really be struggling. Are humans always this uncomfortable? Can’t even control their own bodies? Poor thing…’
A short silence followed before Ashtel suddenly jumped up.
“That’s it! I’ll just ask Carmen if it’s okay to go now.”
“Ashtel!”
“Come on, you’ve held it this long! I’m sure it’ll be fine!”
Honestly, it sounded like a good idea. If Carmen said it was okay, there’d be no need for further suffering.
But then he imagined Ashtel explaining the situation—
‘Sis, Payne says he can’t hold it anymore! Can’t he just go now?’
‘What? I told him two hours, but… fine, let him use the bathroom.’
The mere thought of it made Payne want to die of embarrassment.
