Based on her experience, by now, Payne should have been gasping and suffering from the unrelenting e–ction.
It will grip his throat, make him struggling to breathe, and eventually, he might even pounce on any nearby woman.
‘As expected, to stop the ceremony…’
Ashtel glanced up worriedly at Payne’s face and thought,
‘Wow, he’s handsome.’
Her mind cleared momentarily.
Even from below, his beauty was undeniable.

Ashtel quickly shook her head and refocused.
Looking up at Payne again, she was relieved to see him maintaining a stoic expression with immense mental strength.
His lips were slightly parted as he breathed in deeply, steadying his gaze.
He was even fluttering through a book in preparation for the upcoming prayer reading…

Didn’t he look dangerously out of control?
‘This won’t do.’
Ashtel rolled her eyes around.
How could she possibly help Payne?
Suddenly, a loud bell rang twice, and the surroundings quieted down.
Her heart jumped and she tensed up, listening intently as Payne began to speak.
“We now begin the hymn ceremony for Medialle.”
Then hundreds of voices mingled together.
“For the god of sanctity and temperance, Katzel.”

The congregation’s voices joined in a blind display of faith.
The aggressive prayers boomed in Ashtel’s ears, causing her to groan.
‘My head hurts!’
To a demon, holy hymns are poison.
Especially here in Medialle, full of affection for Katzel, starting worship together was suffocating.
‘Ugh…’
But if there was one advantage, it was that Payne’s deep, melodic voice was pleasant to hear.
“Our omnipotent god, our savior, our sun, Katzel.”
If only the content weren’t so cringe-worthy.
“Grant us salvation…uh.”
Ashtel who had been groaning and clutching her head. She shivered, startled by a sudden moan.
Payne, unable to withstand the pleasure any longer, swayed unnoticed as he cleared his throat.
His neatly lowered hand clenched and unclenched, revealing his unconcealable lust.

As Ashtel watched, her mouth unconsciously began to water at the thought of Payne’s muscles twitching beneath his priestly garb.

Just then, Payne inhaled sharply and gripped the crucifix hanging around his neck tightly.
Fortunately, as the congregation continued with the next lines, his soft whimpers didn’t disrupt the prayer.
Yet, fearing that his moans might escape, Payne quickly covered his mouth.
Despite his conspicuous behavior, he began to shiver. He even touched the lectern for support.
“Choo, choo!”
It was clear the situation wasn’t good.
Payne seemed increasingly driven to the edge.
‘Is he going to collapse here?’
Soon his heart would pound uncontrollably, and he might faint from rapid breathing.
It would be disastrous if Payne, not just any clergyman but a key figure, collapsed during this ceremony.
‘This ceremony must be important to him.’
Payne loved Katzel deeply.
From the few days Ashtel had observed his daily routines while disguised as a young bird, she knew Payne’s reputation wasn’t built in a day.
It was earned through his complete devotion to his God and temple.
Seeing him begin to pray despite his heat showed his strong sense of duty.
If Payne, due to one of the seven deadly sins—lust—compromised this event…
‘He would be devastated.’
Ashtel’s heart ached in sympathy.
Especially since his current situation was due to her pheromones, making the guilt weigh even heavier on her.
‘I don’t want to be the cause of Payne’s sorrow.’
With these thoughts, she thought , watching him worryingly as it was once again his turn to speak, his voice trembling as he continued.
“The good intentions of our god, unknown to the seven malevolent spirits…”
However, his breaths became increasingly labored.
Looking at him staggering and unable to maintain his composure, some of the congregation had started to notice something was amiss.
