Chapter 3.10
Mikhail seemed to fall into thought for a very brief moment at that explanation before opening his mouth again.
“What about your horns?”
It was a calm question, as if his capacity for empathy had been eaten up long, long ago. Even though she was a demon, it felt like he was treating her too roughly, and in the end, she ground her teeth and glared at Mikhail. She had been certain he would be watching her with an irritating smile, as if teasing her, but unexpectedly, Mikhail wore a gentle expression. In the end, Leticia answered obediently this time too.
“…It’s very small.”
“It must be cute.”
She couldn’t hide the feeling that she was somehow being dragged along, but Leticia showed him her horn. It was a shabby single horn that had grown small at the far right edge of her forehead.
The only comfort was that, to human eyes, whether a demon’s horns were small or large had nothing to do with their appeal. Mikhail wouldn’t look down on her horn.
“Happy now?”
There was certainly no sense of mockery in Mikhail’s attitude as he cheerfully tapped her horn as he pleased. Since she had no tail and only half of a horn, if he had been another demon, he would have thrown at least one taunt at her. It was truly fortunate that he was human.
No, fortunate? Leticia suddenly questioned her own thoughts. What did it matter whether he laughed at her or not? All she had to do was take Mikhail’s soul. It wasn’t as if the contract terms said anything like he had to look up to her.
“It looks good. Pretty.”
Mikhail murmured as he pressed a kiss to the tip of her horn with an audible smack. That was the first time she had heard such words. Human aesthetic standards were truly impossible to understand. In truth, it was hard to know whether Mikhail’s standards were the same as other humans’ at all. An ordinary human would have called horns or wings like these disgusting.
“Let’s do it with you like this today.”
“Are you serious? They’ll get really in the way.”
The horn was one thing, but her wings were large enough to make it difficult to lie down and a hindrance when embracing each other. Because of that, even demons rarely brought out their wings when they slept with each other. That was why horns and tails were all the more important as standards of appeal.
“It doesn’t matter. I want to see your wing feathers flutter when you feel good.”
“You say such perverted things without even changing your expression.”
Leticia grumbled without much feeling. Somehow, she wasn’t inclined to do it. It was hard to know how her wings would flap, and she felt it would be humiliating if he eventually told her they were cumbersome and asked her to put them away again.
Yes, this was shame. After he had gone around calling them pretty as he pleased, if Mikhail belatedly took those words back, she would be so embarrassed and upset that she wouldn’t be able to endure it. Because she had already become a little excited by praise she had heard for the first time.
Thinking about it, Mikhail Becker had said he liked her wings on the first day too. She had thought it was mere flattery.
Noticing his hand creeping down below her navel before she knew it, Leticia shrank back. Before she knew it, her body was responding to each touch of his and chasing pleasure. Since every time their bodies touched lately, it had led to s*x, perhaps it was only natural.
However, Leticia was bothered by the wings and horn she had brought out. Until now, whenever she joined bodies with him, even if she had lost the lead, the awareness that she was a demon had supported her. Because he was human and she was a demon, in that respect, she was somewhat above him.
On the other hand, her shabby horn and the wings that at least remained reminded her that she was lacking. She was a demon, but one who was somewhat deficient, one might say. It felt as though even the pride she barely held on to was being driven into a half-formed state.
With an unwilling expression, Leticia glanced at the mirror near the bed. She could clearly see the wings covered in bright red feathers hiding half of her body.
“Do you want to be f****d while looking in the mirror?”
Perhaps misunderstanding her gaze, Mikhail asked an absurd question. Just as Leticia was about to protest that there was no way, she was startled by the hands lifting her body and began to struggle.
“Don’t do anything pointless!”
She couldn’t bring herself to say aloud that she didn’t want to look in the mirror in this state. That would be the same as honestly revealing her weakness. So the only thing she could do was flap her wings and push him away.
But his hands skillfully slipped under her wing joints, making her resistance insignificant.
