Chapter 13 🔞
Iver caught Annerose by the waist as she slid down while they remained joined. When he lifted her upper body upright again, she felt the firmness of his cxck against her once more.
Anerose squeezed her eyes shut at the heavy thrust.
As their movements began again, sweet moans spilled endlessly from her whenever she opened her mouth.
With both her arms held and her body lifted, her feet barely touching the ground, the vigorous movement sent sharp sensations through her lower abdomen, making her tremble.
Overwhelmed by the intense pleasure, Annerose could only let out a moan that was barely distinguishable from a scream.
“Shh—”
When her moans grew louder, Iver covered her mouth with one hand. Her hot breath spilled against his palm. Annerose bit lightly at his hand, swallowing down the sounds of pleasure.
The intensity was so overwhelming that it felt as though her entire body might break apart beneath the heat. Annerose felt as though she were burning up in the throes of pleasure.
The pleasure that had been building finally burst, turning her mind completely white.
As powerful sensations coursed through every corner of her body, Annerose exhaled a heated breath before slowly sliding down the glass wall and losing consciousness.

When she opened her eyes, she felt the softness of a bed beneath her.
It seemed Iver had carried her there after she fainted from exhaustion.
It was the middle of the night, and a pleasant breeze blew through the greenhouse, the temperature having fallen with the darkness.
Annerose briefly closed her eyes, letting the heat leave her body. When she opened them again, she saw the red marks scattered across her body.
They were all traces of the passion that had just passed.
There was still plenty of time before morning, so Annerose pulled the blanket over herself again. A warm presence seemed to envelop her in the darkness. Iver was sleeping beside her.
Annerose gently stroked his sleeping face before drawing him into her arms.
‘Someday, this child will find someone to spend his life with, too. I hope he can share the same span of time with her and live happily….’
If the feelings he had for her were genuine, she wanted to give him her heart in return. But she couldn’t bring herself to do so recklessly.
She had spent so long watching the lives of those with finite lifespans unfold before her. In lives that lasted less than a hundred years, people bloomed in the prime of their lives before withering away.
As countless years passed, Annerose had been forced to grow accustomed to parting with people.
That was why she couldn’t accept Iver’s feelings, knowing that someday she would have to say goodbye to him. Their spans of time were simply too different.
She would go on living through countless years with no end in sight, while he possessed a life with a definite end. Surely, the two of them could never be happy together.
“I want you to be happy. Iver, thank you for saving me.”
With all her heart, Annerose took Iver’s hand and prayed.
May this child’s future be filled with blessings. And may he forget her soon.
When she thought of the day she would eventually have to part with Iver, tears began to fall from Annerose’s eyes.
‘This is why I tried not to grow attached.’
When had she become so attached to him?
Was it the day they first made love? The day she came to this conservatory? Perhaps she had grown attached to him the moment she met him.
Annerose smiled through her tears.
Ah. It seemed she would have to endure another painful goodbye.
The thought made her heart ache.
Annerose burrowed deeper into Iver’s arms and quietly prayed.
If their parting was inevitable, let it come as late as possible. Let this brief moment pass as slowly as it could.
After sniffling quietly for a long while, she felt the warmth around her tighten.
“Sorry. Did I wake you?”
“…Were you crying? Did you have another nightmare?”
“…Yes. It’s all right, so go back to sleep. It’s the same as usual.”
Annerose lied as she gently patted Iver’s stomach.
“……”
Perhaps expecting him to say something, Iver remained silent for a moment before spreading his arms wide.
“If you fall asleep in my warm embrace, you won’t have any more nightmares.”
The sleepy way he said “my warm embrace” made Annerose let out a quiet laugh.
“You’re right. I think I really do have fewer nightmares when I’m with you.”
“Yes. So I’ll keep sleeping beside you. Tomorrow, and the day after that. Every single day.”
“…Okay. Let’s sleep together. Always. Always.”
How much longer would she be able to stay wrapped in this warm embrace?
For now, Annerose decided to simply enjoy the time flowing gently past.
