Chapter 136
I thought you’d bring a whole unit of knights with you, but I see that’s not the case.
The man with red-tinted eyes narrowed them and lifted his thin lips in a smile. Unlike before when he had been covered in a robe, he was now dressed in Eastern attire.
Or rather, he was wearing a loose, ornate robe with long sleeves, and underneath it, a comfortable black tunic, yet it looked so natural as though he had always dressed this way.
“Ryuhyeon.”
“There’s something so enchanting about hearing my name from you… I truly appreciate you accepting my invitation, Lady Roina.”
Yoseph and Roina fully entered the room. Just in case, they had left the door slightly open, but as soon as they entered, the door creaked and closed automatically.
Roina glanced at it briefly and then stepped forward a little more. She didn’t understand why this person was smoking a cigarette without even opening the window.
“Please tell me more about what you said last time. What exactly did you mean? What else do you know?”
“Let’s take it slow. There’s no rush.”
With that, he flashed a small smile and gently stood, guiding the two of them to the chairs. The room was so small that there was only a single desk and chair, so Yoseph declined Hyun’s offer to sit in the auxiliary chair and remained standing.
“Hmm, right. Where did we leave off?”
“Lutan. You asked why it’s called the ‘Yellow Dragon,’ remember?”
“Oh, I mentioned that I had felt fate with Lady Roina, didn’t I?”
He said that and suddenly pressed his face close to Roina’s. Roina was startled and instinctively tried to pull back, but he grabbed her chair. In the blink of an eye, his lips brushed against Roina’s.
Soft- The moist, thin lips of the man briefly touched Roina’s lips before pulling away lightly. A sweet and tempting scent lingered around him, likely from the cigarette he had been smoking earlier.
Roina, feeling dizzy, shook her head and pushed him away. He let out a laugh from deep within his throat, pulling away from her obediently.
“What the hell is this…? If you’re not serious about talking, then I should probably leave.”
Roina, stunned, immediately dragged her chair back and stood up. It was then. Thud, the sound of someone collapsing came from very close by.
Startled, Roina looked toward where Yoseph had been. Yoseph was sitting on the floor with his back against the wall, his head lowered as if he were asleep.
Seeing him, Roina’s vision soon blurred. Yoseph’s figure seemed to overlap, splitting in two.
“This scent…! What have you done?”
Roina gathered her remaining strength and tried to summon wind to open all the doors and windows in the room. A gust of wind blew, but only a rattling noise was heard as the room remained sealed.
As she staggered back, dizzy, a long, graceful hand from behind her wrapped around her waist, and the man who owned the hand blew cold breath onto the back of her neck. Goosebumps instantly covered her skin.
“Just a little preparation for a relaxed conversation, I suppose? It’s not that dangerous… Don’t be afraid.”
Licking his lips, he tugged at her robe and lightly grazed her neck and shoulder area. Roina wanted to push him away with all her might, but her hands wouldn’t respond. Her hands only lightly rested on his arm, as if floating through a dream.
He chuckled softly and exhaled yet another sweet breath. He placed his hand on her shoulder and, without hesitation, laid her down on the bed, his body pressing down on top of hers.
“Th- stop.”
His legs dug between Roina’s, and her limp hands were pressed against the bed, locked together. He lowered his head, pulling at her clothes slightly with his mouth, letting out a sigh of pleasure as though in ecstasy.
“Shh- I don’t intend to do anything frightening. Just relax and surrender, Roina.”
Sweet dreams, he whispered, and with those final words, Roina’s consciousness faded.
