Chapter 165
Roina deliberated for a moment on how much to tell her, but soon began to speak softly. It was a strange feeling, as she had never organized and spoken of all the things she had gone through like this before.
“…That’s what happened.”
As she finished speaking, she saw the two people in front of her staring at Roina with dumbfounded expressions. Roina gave a faint smile. From being the Crown Prince’s s*x slave to the Great Mage discovering her talent and her barely escaping, to meeting the envoy from Ryeo Kingdom and being lured, kidnapped, imprisoned, and violated. She had spoken without embellishment.
“Anyway, thank you for saving me.”
“No, uh, so, you’re the Great Mage’s disciple?”
“Hey, Jason, show some respect.”
If she was indeed the Great Mage’s disciple, she was someone who would soon become a Great Mage herself. Even without that, mages were treated like nobles, and Great Mages were beings connected to this empire’s mythology, considered those who harmonize and manage the gifts of the gods, so they were not to be treated lightly. However, Jason just snorted.
Roina glanced at him for a moment. She had no particular intention of saying anything to him. It was enough that his words were kind in content. Whether he used informal or formal speech didn’t bother her that much. Informal speech seemed to suit him better anyway. It seemed that he wasn’t disrespecting her, but simply wasn’t concerned about her status.
“Hey, she says she’s okay, so why are you like that?”
“Did she say that? Huh? I don’t think so?”
“Ah, I’m okay, so don’t worry about it.”
Roina interjected as the two seemed to be bickering again. A brief silence fell between the three of them once more. In the midst of that, Erika hesitated slightly before speaking.
“Aren’t you curious about us?”
Roina pondered. In fact, she had half intentionally not asked. For fear that they might harbor hostility towards her. But did this question mean that they were willing to tell her?
“…I am curious. How you came to the place where I was kidnapped, what this place is, and what kind of people you are. It’s only natural that I’d be curious.”
That was true. In fact, Roina had many questions as well. However, she had simply been suppressing them in a corner of her mind for the time being.
“Roina, there’s something I want to confirm.”
Erika swallowed hard. She seemed to be gauging Roina’s reaction.
“Is it true that Lady Amasto and Lord Amasto helped you?”
Roina was silent for a moment before nodding. She was referring to Maili and Yoseph.
“In that case, perhaps… Do you also know about the anti-Crown Prince alliance?”
Roina raised her hand and gently rubbed her forehead as she thought. She wasn’t sure if she should speak about this. However, the other party already knew about it. Roina looked around. A secret underground space, capable of providing food and lodging, and hiding many people.
Bringing up the anti-Crown Prince alliance meant they knew of its existence. Considering this environment in combination, it was easy enough to deduce.
‘These people are probably the Revolutionary Army.’
She nodded after thinking that far. Erika’s face brightened slightly.
“Yes. I know. I know Amasto is at the center of it.”
“Then you must know.”
“That we’re trying to kill the Crown Prince.”
Red-haired Jason interjected Erika and grinned. It was a chilling smile with a hint of murderous intent. Erika glared at him, but quietly nodded in agreement.
“And that we’re going to overturn this empire.”
At that moment, an unfamiliar voice rang out. The three people simultaneously turned their heads toward the doorway. There stood a blond man, Yoseph, who looked tired but whose eyes were full of emotion, on the verge of overflowing. Unlike usual, his hair and clothes were quite disheveled.
“Lady Roina.”
He walked over quickly and embraced Roina with great force.
“…You’re safe. I’m relieved.”
His arms tightly held Roina’s shoulders and neck. Roina was truly enveloped by him.
‘Was Yoseph nineteen now…? I knew he was a bit taller, but…’
Roina looked at Yoseph’s arms and body, which were strongly embracing her, with unfamiliar eyes. When she first met him, she thought he was unmistakably a boy, but now that he was embracing her like this, it was clear that he had grown close to adulthood.
“I’m truly relieved.”
A masculine scent wafted over her. Perhaps because they were so close, or because she had been constantly receiving training disguised as harassment by Maili, she could feel lean and well-balanced muscles in various places, though not large. Roina was slightly flustered, but she pretended not to be and calmly patted Yoseph’s back.
“Yeah, I’m back. You were worried.”
