🥀⚔️🥀⚔️🥀⚔️🥀⚔️🥀⚔️🥀⚔️🥀⚔️🥀⚔️🥀⚔️🥀

There are problems with Grace secretly investigating the medicine.

Firstly, although Grace appears to be going out alone, she always has guards lurking around her.

Secondly, it is a problem of who to entrust the investigation to.

Grace sat in her study, twirling the pen in her hand, thinking.

‘In the novel, there wasn’t much information available.’

In general, novels often contain bits and pieces of information. Unfortunately, the novel “The Saint’s Wish” that Grace read did not provide any information on this matter.

There seemed to be a mercenary guild, but they couldn’t be entrusted with gathering information.

‘They might provide false information, or because it’s specialized knowledge, so even the mercenary guild might not be able to solve…’

Since it was related to medicine, it would be better to entrust the investigation to a temple. However, the problem was that Benjamin was a devout follower. If Grace went and entrusted the investigation to the temple, Benjamin could find out.

If it were to be revealed that Grace was investigating this medicine, Benjamin would question, “Why is My Lady investigating the medicine?”

‘He’ll probably suspect that I’m suspicious of something.’

For example, about Benjamin himself.

When Grace asked Sally about the medicine, Sally couldn’t give a proper answer.

‘No matter how friendly the people in the annex are to me, they ultimately belong to Benjamin.’

The fact that Sally couldn’t easily answer Grace meant that Benjamin’s permission was required.

In other words, even if Grace asked Benjamin, there was a high probability that she wouldn’t get the real answer she wanted.

Before parting ways yesterday, Grace subtly asked Benjamin about the medicine. He replied to Grace with “nutritional supplement,” which was obviously a lie to anyone.

Since Benjamin was lying, Grace had no reason to actually take the medicine. She pretended to take it, secretly discarding most of it under the water tank.

“So, the problem is where to find the real answer…”

Grace had no worries about the money needed to obtain information. Her resources were still intact.

‘Should I ask Dunn for help?’

Grace thought about Cleta but quickly dismissed the idea. If she asked Cleta for assistance, what if the outcome turns out to be really bad?

She trusted Benjamin’s kindness, but the medicine itself was suspicious. She didn’t want to unnecessarily involve them in this matter.

“But is there someone who can get involved? It’s something I can’t do myself, but…”

A person who has a bright eye for information and can be involved?

Grace furrowed her brows as she scribbled down her thoughts on a piece of paper, tearing it out of the notebook and neatly folding it before slipping it between her clothes.

“Hmm…”

Lost in thought, Grace looked out through the wide-open window beside her. She could see the main building from the annex.

As soon as she saw the main building, Benjamin came to mind, and naturally, she felt melancholic.

Grace slapped her cheeks lightly and stood up from her seat.

‘Let’s focus on what I can do.’

Nevertheless, Grace felt less burdened by depressive thoughts than before. It could be because of her mood, but she consoled herself, thinking that if she continued to brainwash herself like this, it might eventually make those truly gloomy thoughts disappear.

‘Anyway, it’s almost time for our appointment, so let’s go out.’

It was the day Grace had planned to go out with Benjamin. Although Grace’s physical condition hadn’t fully recovered, she was eager to go out whenever possible.

She made a promise not to keep Benjamin waiting as she did during the mask festival, and she grabbed Rehton’s cloak that was draped over the sofa in the study.

As she stepped out of the study, Sally greeted her.

“Madam, did you happen to hear any noise early in the morning?”

“Hmm? Not really.”

Confused, Grace looked at Sally, who smiled in relief.

“Last time, there were cobblestones, remember? I started clearing them all in the early morning, planning to change them all to white. I only cleared the area near the annex, but I was worried that the noise might have disturbed your sleep.”

“Oh, no, it’s okay. And you’ve been working since dawn, that must have been exhausting.”

“That’s my job, and I get paid for it, so it’s fine. Besides, who knows if there was another explosive thing hidden there. It’s better to hurry as much as possible!”

“It’s not like it’s not hard work just because you get paid. I’m sorry for bothering you…”

Sally mentioned another reason, but Grace knew the real reason.

The reason for working in the early morning was that Grace might want to use the garden as soon as she woke up.

Although Sally asked Grace if the noise had bothered her, Grace could easily tell that Sally had been careful to proceed with the work in a way that wouldn’t disturb her.

“It’s okay!”

Seeing Grace’s eyebrows furrow and her apologetic expression, Sally made an effort to assure Grace that she didn’t have to feel more sorry.

“It’s really okay, so please go on a date with His Highness today, Madam!”

“…It’s not a date…”

Grace responded to Sally’s words with a melancholic tone as she walked through the hallway.

“What? If you’re going out with His Highness, and if it’s not a date, then what is it?”

Sally asked Grace with a very friendly attitude. Perhaps it wasn’t an appropriate attitude for a servant, but Grace didn’t seem to mind and answered casually.

“…An investigation?”
