Chapter 133
“…You have quite the tongue for someone who only knows how to sexually torture others.”
Psh. He made a sound like air escaping, glancing at empty space before looking down at her again with an arrogant gaze.
“Be grateful that until now, you’ve only endured s****l torture.”
For a moment, Psyche lost her words and could only gape. Did he really just say that?
“You seem to think you were violated because you’re a woman… That’s not it, princess.”
“……”
“Thanks to being a woman, you’ve ‘only’ been violated here until now.”
“……”
“But if you start playing tricks, the story changes.”
His hand gripping her chin applied even more force. He brought his face very close and growled threateningly.
“Before I ruin that pretty face, stay quietly confined to your room. Understand?”
She clenched her fists tightly. He seemed thoroughly angered because Serdin and Helios, especially Serdin, weren’t following his orders.
But even b******t has its limits—wasn’t this going too far? True, she had been playing tricks, but that didn’t mean she deserved such insulting remarks. Psyche sharply retorted.
“It seems you’re taking out your frustration on me because the other family heads aren’t moving according to your will… Instead of wasting time like this, manage the other family heads properly. Because you only act this way with me since I’m easy to push around, Terche keeps barging into my room without your permission and violating me.”
“…What?”
Suddenly, the strength left Rezus’s hand. His expression suggested he had heard something completely unexpected. Taking advantage of this opening, she pushed him away with all her might. As she immediately headed toward the dining room, he grabbed her again and turned her to face him.
“Terche did what to you?”
“Ask Terche directly. Don’t hassle me about it.”
She shook off his hand as if flicking away something dirty. She shot him a murderous glare before sharply turning her head away.
* * *
Rezus stared intently at his hand that had just been gripping her wrist, then clenched it into a tight fist. Without further thought, he strode forward with purposeful steps and flung Terche’s door wide open.
“Why did you do something I never ordered you to do?”
Terche, who had been reading a newspaper on the sofa, slowly raised his head. He showed no particular change in expression upon seeing Rezus, as if he’d been expecting him. While silence hung in the air, Terche contemplated the question.
Why did he do something he wasn’t ordered to do?
To Terche, Psyche was a bit more special than other women. But to her, he was probably just one of the bastards. If that was the case, he wanted to be imprinted in her mind as somewhat more special among those bastards. He didn’t care if it was in a negative way. That was all there was to it.
But even if that was all, he had no obligation to answer.
Terche parted his lips with an expressionless face.
“Who knows.”
“…….”
At that half-hearted response, Rezus’s eyes cooled dangerously. Yet he didn’t say anything. He was demanding a proper answer through his silence alone.
As the silence continued like a form of torture, Terche furrowed his brow in displeasure. He set the newspaper down on the table and answered in a low voice.
“She’s already lost her purity because of you. She’s been gang-r***d too. What difference does it make if the count increases by a few more times?”
Rezus smiled faintly and tilted his head.
“Right, nothing changes if the count increases a few more times.”
Suddenly, he wiped the smile from his face and walked slowly but deliberately toward Terche. When he stopped just in front of him, a dark shadow fell across Terche’s face. Rezus twisted his chin slightly and looked down at Terche arrogantly.
“But that’s not what I asked. I asked ‘why’ you did something without being ordered to. Breaking my command and even putting up a barrier.”
On the first day they kidnapped Psyche, Rezus had clearly ordered Serdin, Terche, and Helios not to use external blocking barriers within the mansion if possible. Yet Terche not only disobeyed that order but also did something he wasn’t told to do.
Moreover, he hadn’t sensed anyone putting up a barrier in the mansion even once. This meant Terche had intentionally waited until everyone was asleep before pouncing on Psyche. That fact put him in a considerably foul mood.
“…….”
When he felt the unpleasant pressure bearing down on him, signs of irritation clouded the eyes of Terche, who rarely showed emotional fluctuations. He responded in a somewhat neurotic tone.
“If you think about it just a little, you’d know the answer. Isn’t it obvious?”
“Say it so I understand.”
“I wanted s*x, so I had s*x. What other reason could there be?”
A hollow laugh escaped through Rezus’s teeth.
“Why did you put up the barrier?”
“You were the one who said we could put up barriers when engaging in actual s*x.”
“So you violated Psyche without my permission? And cowardly at that, taking advantage while everyone was asleep and even putting up a barrier?”
Suddenly, a cynical laugh formed on Terche’s lips.
“Do I need to ask your permission to have s*x?”
As Rezus was about to say something, Terche stood up from the sofa. At the now-equal eye level, Terche quietly murmured while directly facing the red eyes flickering with murderous energy.
“Weren’t you the one who ordered us to violate her in the first place?”
“……”
“I didn’t torture her, I only did as you instructed. I don’t understand why you’re making such a fuss about a few more occurrences. Especially now, at this dawn hour.”
A heavy silence descended between them. There was no exchange of words, but the atmosphere grew uncontrollably hostile. After a moment of exchanging probing gazes, Rezus’s rigid face suddenly softened, and he snickered while shrugging his shoulders.
“Sorry for making a scene.”
At that absurdly relaxed response, Terche’s eyebrow twitched subtly. As Terche remained on edge, Rezus firmly gripped his shoulder before releasing it and spoke with chilling gentleness.
“Be careful from now on.”
Then he patted his shoulder and walked past him. Just as Terche was intently scrutinizing Rezus’s retreating back as he walked toward the door, feeling somehow unsettled—
“Ah.”
Rezus stopped at the doorway and turned only his head to look at Terche.
“You probably won’t be able to use your ability for a while. Try to endure the frustration.”
“……”
At that moment, Terche could do nothing but glare at Rezus as he opened the door and left.
As equals of the first rank, their innate powers were similar. However, the head of a faction possessed a special privilege. The privilege to temporarily restrict the abilities of other family heads when they felt those heads had stepped beyond their control.
But Rezus had never used that power until now. Not just Rezus, but historically, the heads of Arje never used that power unless someone committed a mistake grave enough to be irreversible. That was why, unlike the vertical hierarchy of Mathes, Arje maintained a relatively horizontal atmosphere among its family heads.
Yet, Rezus had just used that power.
Terche’s face slowly contorted.
