Unidentifiable emotions rose within her.

“So you bought me…? To marry me? With that money?”

“Yes.”

What on earth is he talking about?

A week ago, while wandering around the empire, she was forcibly captured by illegal foreign slave traders at the port.

While struggling, she was beaten and ended up on a cargo ship where animals were transported, lying on the floor in a state of resignation when this psycho overturned the ship.

Dragged to a slave auction, she was appraised at quite a high price.

The auctioneers were quite interested in a woman with rare pink hair, and as a result, her price soared sky-high.

But then this man appeared.

He bought the slave for ten million Luna, attracting the attention of everyone present.

Well, thanks to that, she was able to live, but she never wanted to be kidnapped again.

“Who on earth are you…?”

Ten million Luna is enough to buy a mansion with ten buildings attached.

If he’s spending in one day money that a commoner couldn’t hold in a lifetime, he must be incredibly wealthy.

“Seems like you’re finally interested in me.”

For a moment, he lifted one corner of his mouth and met her gaze.

Then he stepped away, making the sound of his shoe heels as he circled around the chair.

“Yes, I’m so curious as to who you are to do such crazy things in the Ardeo Principality.”

Judging by his attire, he seems to be the young master of some distinguished family.

Surely, he must be the spoiled youngest son of some high-ranking noble.

“I didn’t know you were so interested in me.”

He bent down to meet her gaze.

His face was full of mischief as if he were playing some amusing game.

“It’s such an honor.”

His overflowing confidence and composure made her even more determined.

She would escape from here and definitely hand him over to the police bureau.

“Yes, enjoy it as much as you can now.”

She glared at him with a faint smile.

“What, are you planning to hand me over to the police bureau?”

Her heart skipped a beat, but she blinked as if nothing was wrong.

He smirked as if he expected that and opened his mouth.

“That would be impossible.”

“You must not know, but in the Ardeo Principality, if someone commits an illegal act, anyone can rightfully…!”

“Ha…”

He sighed briefly, then raised his mouth like a clown.

And then he laughed heartily for a long time as if something was really funny.

“……”

“Go on, keep talking.”

He tilted his head crookedly as if to say, ‘Let’s hear it.’ But his mocking attitude made her lose all interest, and she didn’t want to say another word.

“……”

“You absolutely can’t.”

His confident gaze was intense.

But she was not one to be intimidated by such things.

She also gritted her teeth and glared at him.

“His Highness, Grand Duke Scylla, won’t leave you alone.”

Decarus de Scylla.

A collateral relative of the imperial family and the ruler of the Ardeo Principality, Decarus de Scylla is a man renowned throughout the empire.

He is the epitome of perfection, excelling in character, academics, and martial arts, earning him a reputation as the best of the best.

His beauty is so striking that he even has a fan club among many women.

Moreover, as a philanthropist, he is known for his good deeds, distributing bread and milk to the street beggars, a fact known by all citizens of the Ardeo Principality.

If he is truly fair and just to all citizens, he should certainly punish this man.

“Ha…!”

He stood crookedly, letting out a laugh as if he couldn’t believe it.

“Does that person really say so?”

“Yes, he is for the citizens of the principality…!”

“Where on earth did you hear such things…?”

He sighed lowly, shaking his head a couple of times.

The man, momentarily lost in thought with his arms crossed, soon looked at her and spoke quietly.

“What if that’s me?”

They stared at each other for a long time, as if time had stopped.

The sound of shoes moving in a steady rhythm was irritating.

“…What?”

“What if that noble Grand Duke is me?”

What on earth is this man talking about?

She learned that conversations should fit together like puzzle pieces.

She was fed up with the incoherent dialogue they had so far.

“That can’t be.”

“Want to bet?”

“Ha! Sure, let’s bet.”

There’s no way this madman in front of her could be the one praised by all citizens of the principality.

Everyone around praises him so much that they call him a wise ruler.

“Are you confident?”

“Yes. If that’s the case, I’ll personally arrange that damned marriage.”

Then he lowered his eyes and murmured softly.

“Marriage… marriage…”

His languid gaze was as seductive as the sweet whispers of a devil.

The man, resting his chin on her knee, tilted his head slightly.

“You’ll regret those words.”
