The world went dark.

In the darkness, I pondered.

‘It wasn’t possession, it was regression.’

Not a simple dream, nor a dream shown by the Holy Grail, but my own memories that had remained within me.

I had an inkling why I hadn’t remembered this before.

‘The Holy Grail that was said to break curses.’

I was cursed.

The Grail had released my curse, and as the remnants of curses within me melted away, they were replaced by memories.

My surroundings were filled with fragmented memories, like film reels scattered around.

The film unrolled before my eyes.

As I walked forward, bits and pieces of scenes entered my mind one by one.

“Erylotte. Name this child Erylotte, and tell her her mother is very sorry, so very sorry.”

“……”

A hand landed on my newborn shoulder.

From where the hand touched, a pattern like chains spread.

I was cursed from birth.

To prevent the manifestation of any blessings.

“It was you. You used the paralysis agent in Balzac’s drink.”

“No, it wasn’t…! I just shared my water with Balzac because he said he was thirsty!”

“Enough. It was foolish of me to drink what you gave without question.”

The misunderstanding had strained the relationship between Balzac, Joshua, and me.

On the eve of the duel, Balzac had ingested a paralysis agent.

Knowing he was unwell but still participating in the duel, he was pierced by Geoffrey’s sword.

The twins believed I had put the paralysis agent in the water I gave to Balzac.

I was innocent, truly innocent…

‘Someone had laced my water with the paralysis agent.’

I’ll see you soon. Happy birthday, Erylotte.

It was a letter sent by my father on the day he died.

He thought he could finally express himself freely, thinking it could be kept from his siblings, Astra’s second generation.

But the letter never reached me.

The enemy attacked before it could be sent.

At the moment of confrontation, my father’s curse was triggered.

He was stabbed by countless swords as he died.

“Was it you who disclosed the location of Viscount Debussy?”

“I… I was just… I didn’t think he had changed his appearance!”

I tried to win my grandfather’s favor.

Fell for the bait of a disguised spy and disclosed Viscount Debussy’s location.

Because of that, Viscount Debussy was killed, and my grandfather spent his days staring out the window with a pale face.

All these scenes became letters that swirled around me.

The letters whirled around me, then flew past to combine into sentences.

Sentences gathered into paragraphs, and paragraphs into a novel.

The novel that was formed flew into a giant screen and settled there.

And then…

< Erylotte Astra >

—was uploaded to a novel site.

Suddenly, the scene shifted.

The computer screen in Yoo Hyemin’s room turned on, displaying the novel site.

But then…

‘What’s this?’

A red aura gathered and began to consume the text.

Sparks fizzed as the characters in the window changed.

The altered title was—

< I Transmigrated, But I Became the Granddaughter of the Villain >

At that moment, I, with the appearance of Yoo Hyemin, entered the room.

“Why is the computer on? Did Se-Eun forget to turn it off?”

Seated, Yoo Hyemin clicked on the novel. I was watching her every move.

‘This was my blessing.’

<Grandvill> was a novel born from my blessing.

This isn’t a world inside a mere novel…

‘It’s reality─!!’

* * *

Suddenly, I opened my eyes.

“Miss!”

My chest throbbed as if it had been pounded with a bat, and it even caused a headache.

“Are you conscious?”

“Are you alright?”

I looked towards the sound.

‘It’s not Hilda and Greta.’

It’s Heidi and Betty.

That meant this place was…

‘The Daymond Jurisdiction.’

“Hei-yi, how-wong was I asweep?” (Heidi, how long was I asleep?)

“For half a year… half a year─!”

Heidi and Betty burst into tears.

‘Half a year?’

That was when it happened.

Bang!

The door burst open and people rushed into the room.

“She moved?!”

Balzac was the first to rush in.

“Kiddo…”

Seeing me awake, Balzac’s eyes twisted in emotion.

Following him was Joshua.

“Erylotte, oh…”

Joshua, wearing an expression I had never seen before, covered his eyes with one hand.

The last to arrive was…
