Her throat was parched.
But he simply leaned back against the terrace and looked at Evina, as if the fact that they had been pressed together and he had been stirring her deepest parts just moments ago was all a lie.
“Well then.”
Her voice caught and barely came out.
“May I take my leave now, Your Grace?”
“Sure, go ahead.”
His face showed not a trace of guilt toward the woman who was a mess because of him.

The man took another sip of champagne. Setting the glass down, he approached the woman who had barely managed to lean her back against the sofa and was letting out a sigh.
He knelt on one knee before her and lifted her small chin.

His gray eyes, where the violently swirling energy had vanished, were indifferent and cold.
Hatred, joy, curiosity and warmth, even malice. They were heartless eyes, void of all of it.
Realizing that, her body went cold, as if doused in ice water.
“I liked it.”
