Chapter 12
He tapped her chin lightly with his fingertips.
“I liked it. Your hole suits my taste quite well.”
“…”
“We fit well together, didn’t we?”
“I’m not so sure.”
It was pride. That was all it was.
“Really?”
But the man simply smiled as if he found it laughable and brushed it aside.
Somehow, the sense of defeat only deepened.
“Then what a shame… I’ve grown rather fond of you.”
“Let go of this… ah.”
The hand gripping her chin tightened its hold.
He was a tyrant, Xenobius. Clearly the type whose temperament couldn’t tolerate insolence.
“I’ll visit your estate every week. Become my mistress.”
“…”
The man’s eyes bore into Evina’s reddened ones.
“What do you want? A second home built in the center of the capital? Dresses that fill an entire room? Jewels, a cute little dog. Just say the word, anything. Just as I filled your hole, I’ll fill your desires to the brim.”
He leaned close to her ear and whispered.
“If you want, I’ll put something in your hands that not even the Empress could have.”
His lips brushed past her cheek.
“A canvas as good as you, that’s not a bad offer at all.”
“Not interested.”
In an instant, one of the man’s eyebrows twitched.
“Then?”
“I have plenty of money myself, as you know.”
“With the money some jumped-up peasant left behind…”
“It’s enough for me to live on my own until I die.”
“Ha. Really?”
He let go of her hand.
“So then? You’ll just live out your life alone and die with that delicious body of yours, now that you’ve had a taste of c**k? Prodding your hole with toys?”
At that, Evina let out a small, derisive snort.
“Cheeky.”
“Then… could you give me the Siollier family?”
A sneer lingered at the corner of her lips.
Just as expected, the man’s face hardened in an instant.
“…What?”
“Give me the Siollier family. Then I’ll see you, Lord Impetraz.”
No sooner had the words left her mouth than Xenobius burst out in a loud, refreshing laugh.
“See me?”
The corners of her eyes twitched faintly.
Now that his laughter had faded, even the pretense of a smile had vanished from the man’s face.
“That will take some time.”
His voice was stiff.
“That’s fine.”
He straightened up.
“Then I’ll visit you next week…”
“Ah.”
The man, cut off mid-sentence, clenched his fist reflexively.
Evina looked up at Xenobius.
“Come late at night. I don’t want to be caught.”
The man vanished from before her eyes in an instant.
It made her truly realize that he was the strongest Esper in the Empire, no, the entire continent.
Knock, knock. At the sound tapping against the terrace, she barely managed to pull up her fallen dress and let out a sigh.
“Yes.”
The door opened and two maids appeared. They were no ordinary maids. Both were daughters of count families and lady attendants close to the Empress, far higher in status than Evina herself.
They bowed deeply to Evina, who was buried in the rags of her black dress.
“We will help you return home comfortably.”
She nodded, and they quickly approached and began tidying her clothes.
Evina closed her eyes under the hands that cleaned her body.
Xenobius Impetraz.
The most powerful Esper in the Empire, a man who held more power than the Emperor himself.
She couldn’t fathom why such a man would suddenly come looking for her, a Guide who hadn’t even awakened.
It was bewildering.
Just like the first time she had met him.
