Chapter 18
Startled by a sensation she had never felt in her life, she wrapped her arms around her lower stomach.
The unfastened dress slipped down, half exposing her b*****s.
“Who are you?”
She quickly covered her chest and hunched over, turning her back to him.
She couldn’t breathe.
It was something indescribable.
It was as if… as if the man announced his very existence just by appearing.
She had never experienced anything like it in her life.
She was bizarrely aware of him.
His breathing, his gaze, his scent, even the atmosphere he exuded. Everything.
It felt like an invasion.
The man approached Evina as she clutched her slipping dress and hunched defensively.
“I am the Viscountess Derise! I don’t know who you are, but get out… hhk!”
A large hand reached out.
She squeezed her eyes shut.
A huge, dark shadow fell over her.
The man, standing behind her, pulled her into his arms.
“Open your eyes.”
The man’s voice held a strange power.
Those who had never experienced it probably wouldn’t understand.
It was more accurate to say his voice was layered with energy. A coercive force that made it feel impossible not to move as he commanded.
“Your sensitivity is good. I’ll need to test it out.”
Words she didn’t understand.
“Open your eyes.”
Evina slowly lifted her eyelids.
“Ah…”
An even stranger sight.
The image of a woman held in the arms of a tall, handsome man.
Black hair and dark eyes, and the opposite, golden hair and golden eyes. A slender body tucked neatly into a large embrace.
“Your taste is terrible.”
The man firmly grabbed the dress she was barely clutching and pulled up the sleeves that had slipped down to her forearms.
Her thin shoulders were hidden, and the swell of her chest vanished back into the dress.
Watching the scene through the mirror, the man clicked his tongue as if displeased.
He held the dress tight so it wouldn’t slip again, still gaping at the waist since it wasn’t tied, and wore a thoroughly disapproving look.
“Do you like clothes meant for old women?”
His large, gloved hand was slowly stroking her waist.
“Let… let go. My maid is right outside. If I scream…”
“Ah, Therese?”
He pulled at one corner of his mouth.
“I expect Therese is quite busy at the moment.”
“…?”
Under her questioning gaze, he dragged his gloved fingertips down the bare waist exposed between the gaping dress.
“…Ah!”
At the cold sensation, cold enough to raise goosebumps, Evina bit her lip.
A narrow fitting room with no one around. A half-dressed woman and a large man.
It was clearly a dangerous situation, but she didn’t feel like he meant her harm.
She didn’t know why.
It was instinct.
The man pressed a kiss to her pale nape.
“…!”
At the soft lips touching her cold skin, Evina bit the tender flesh inside her mouth.
“No perfume? Your natural scent is quite something.”
He rubbed the bridge of his nose against her shoulder and slowly inhaled.
“Ah…”
Her fine hairs stood on end.
Evina flinched her shoulders and gripped the hem of her dress tight.
“…Who are you?”
“This kind of dress doesn’t suit you.”
He lifted her chin with his gloved hand, forcing her to look in the mirror, and brought his lips to her ear.
“Especially not this dull color.”
His hot breath grazed her earlobe, and a sharp shiver ran from the crown of her head down to her nape.
Goosebumps rose all over her bare arms.
“Why on earth are you doing this to me…”
“Evina Siollier.”
The hand stroking her bare back was driving her out of her mind.
She didn’t know why.
It was an intense sensation unlike anything she had ever felt.
Even standing still, the strength drained from her legs on its own. A ticklish, tingling feeling ran up her spine, and her cold body slowly began to warm.
She was losing strength bit by bit.
The man held the woman from behind and continued his teasing.
Even though he wore gloves, his touch was more vivid and blatant than bare hands.
He had been stroking her bare waist, and now he pressed his palm firmly against her lower belly.
“…Ah.”
“Is that your name?”
“…Yes.”
She answered shortly.
