He was merely teasing her a bit, but the fragile Roel gasped for breath as if the world had crumbled. Seeing her teary face excited Kyden.

He wondered if he had tormented her too much, a flicker of guilt arose as he observed her pleading eyes.

He pulled her close, soothing her with gentle caresses over her flushed eyes and cheeks, his gaze filled with contentment as he stared at her.

He grabbed her waist tightly and aligned their lower bodies, and a soft moan escaped her as he thrusted up.

“Ah!”

He entered deeply and took a moment to catch his breath. He could clearly feel the warm, pulsating flesh around him.

Stroking her small frame, he resolved to keep it moderate today, so she wouldn’t faint. Though he doubted his ability to restrain himself.

“Ah, hmm.”

When he remained still, Roel, as if desperate, began to move her hips cautiously. She feared she might upset the fullness inside her stomach.

In Kyden’s embrace, she found warmth and a sense of security. She had grown accustomed to the feeling of being filled.

‘Why is he so still?’

Normally, he would have lifted her waist and moved vigorously. But today he just surprisingly laid calm. It left her in a tense anxiety, not knowing when something would change and then melted into the rising warmth.

She liked the slight, gradual movements. It gave her ample satisfaction and comfort. Because he moved slowly, it wasn’t scary.

Kyden, who often surged like a beast, gave her fear due to the pain-like pleasure he could cause. Yet, she wondered, would he be content with these gentle motions?

Roel looked up at him with a hazy gaze.

“Why… are you so still?”

“I’m trying to hold back.”

“Why?”

“…Afraid you might faint again.”

His expression was as constrained as his voice. He could restrain himself. He would hold her when she begged while holding back his primal urges.

In this close embrace, Roel fully sensed his consideration and warmth.

“Do you dislike it?”

“No. This… this pace is good for me.”

“…I don’t really like it.”

Ignoring his grumbling, she lazily moved her hips. She quickly exhausts herself and collapses fully on top of him, lacking the energy to continue until climax. Even as she lay there gasping for breath, Kyden patiently endured, not moving intensely, and drowsiness crept up on her.

“I want to sleep like this.”

“That’s not possible.”

“…I’m sleepy.”

Roel, without removing him from inside her, slowly closed her eyes. A sense of comfort hovered over her flushed face. Exhausted from the day’s anxieties, she longed to forget everything and just rest.

This night was safe, at least until today.

“Sleep? Really?”

Kyden’s eyebrows twitched as he looked at Roel, who had fallen sound asleep. The idea of just sleeping in this state was almost torturous. A groan escaped him. Once started, he felt it should be finished.

He resented the asleep Roel for leaving him in this situation but couldn’t break his promise to keep it moderate. Kyden lightly shook Roel, but seeing no signs of her waking, he let out a resigned sigh.

He couldn’t sleep, and his excitement didn’t wane. Yet, he demonstrated remarkable patience, holding Roel in his arms throughout the night, while practicing his endurance until dawn.

Roel followed Kyden around as he put on his coat and gathered money.

“Are you sure it’s okay? There could be an avalanche. Maybe we should wait…”

“We’ve run out of food.”

“But…”

“It’s fine, go inside.”

“When will you be back? How long will it take?”

“I’ll be back before sunset.”

Considering Kyden’s pace, it would take him an hour or two to reach the village. Factoring in the time to shop and return, it would take about half a day.

Roel, resigned, let her shoulders sag. Though concerned by her reaction, Kyden decided it was better to quickly make the trip than to delay.

“Come back soon!”

Roel hurried out to bid him farewell. Hearing her voice, Kyden turned back and nodded. His expression was stoic, but his lips curved in a slight smile.

His feet sank deeply into the snow, making it hard to advance through the snow that reached up to his knees. But he continued down the mountain trail with unwavering steps.

Amidst his descent, Kyden suddenly let out a scoff, amused by the image of the little woman pacing anxiously at the doorstep. Despite chuckling at Roel’s excessive worrying and her timid nature, he found himself eager to return quickly.

As he anticipated, the snow at the base of the mountain had almost entirely melted, revealing a flattened trail that led down to a small village. Not long after, the village came into view. He quickened his pace with the thought of buying ample food for a hearty meal that evening.

The market happened to be open. It was bustling with vendors selling groceries and various necessities. The appearance of a tall, handsome stranger momentarily stirred the market. While a few villagers recognized him as Kyden, most didn’t connect this presentable man with the rugged hunter they were familiar with.
