Chapter 116
He could feel a presence behind him, as Izzen had apparently come in. Jaeha turned around without even checking and immediately kicked him.
“Cough!”
Izzen, who was hit squarely in the stomach, tumbled to the floor. Jaeha ran over to him and kicked him again without even giving him a chance to get up. Izzen, who was hit in the same spot again before the pain from the last blow had subsided, screamed and spat up a mouthful of blood. Even while watching him in agony, Jaeha kicked him hard in the same spot again.
Izzen’s body thrashed violently. This time, he couldn’t even scream. It seemed he had truly reached his limit, as his already battered body was hit repeatedly after the beating from Asta. His vision blurred, and his consciousness faded.
Is this how I’m going to die?
As he was hit a few more times in that state, Izzen had a premonition of death. He could feel his body breaking and the pain with each blow, but the sensation was somehow distant. He felt as if his soul was floating up. In the far distance, he thought he could see his parents, who had raised him so strictly, smiling brightly and waving to him.
Ah, I guess I’m really going to die. Well. It’s for the best…
Izzen resigned himself and reached out his hand to his parents. His parents nodded with pleased expressions and tried to take his outstretched hand. The moment their hands were about to touch,
Cold water was poured over him.
“Wake up, you son of a b***h.”
Jaeha said, hitting Izzen’s head hard with the gourd he had used to pour the cold water. Unfortunately, Jaeha didn’t seem to have the mercy to let Izzen die in peace.
He had regained consciousness, but Izzen kept his eyes closed and pretended to be unconscious. He didn’t think there would be anything good to come from waking up. In fact, he couldn’t even muster the strength to get up.
“Cough……!”
Then, Jaeha grabbed Izzen by the hair and forcibly lifted him. He gritted his teeth at Izzen, who screamed and opened his eyes, then he dragged him to the wall and slammed his head against it.
“Ugh!”
“Don’t give me that transparent act, you son of a b***h.”
Jaeha mercilessly slammed his head against the wall a few more times. A loud sound, enough to make the walls of the house vibrate, rang out repeatedly. Half of the head he was holding was covered in blood, but Jaeha didn’t stop. With each slam, Izzen, who had been screaming, made choking sounds and his eyes rolled back. This time, he really felt like he was going to die.
“Cough!”
Just as his consciousness was about to fade again, Jaeha slapped his cheek. Not once, but several times in a row. In the end, Izzen was forced to open his eyes again.
“You son of a b***h. Did I tell you not to touch Heesu, or not?”
Jaeha brought his face close to Izzen’s and glared, growling his question. The fiercely burning eyes, just a hand’s width away, looked as if they were going to eat him alive.
Izzen’s lips trembled, and he swallowed his words. He wasn’t resisting; he was genuinely so scared that he couldn’t speak. So Jaeha slammed Izzen’s head against the wall again.
“Ugh!”
“Did you get hit so much that you can’t remember? Then maybe if I hit you as much as you’ve already been hit, you’ll remember. Right?”
“Y-yes! You did!”
Jaeha’s hand squeezed and pulled on his hair, as if to slam his head against the wall again, and Izzen screamed his answer. But Jaeha still slammed him against the wall with a loud bang.
“Cough!”
“Right? You shitty bastard. I clearly told you, didn’t I? Ha… I thought I might have forgotten to tell you, or that you might have completely forgotten with your shitty guts. But I clearly said it, and you remember it perfectly. Right? So why did you do it? Why did you do it, you goddamn son of a b***h!!”
Bang! Slamming Izzen’s head against the wall again, Jaeha gritted his teeth.
“The Magical Girl Project……. Well, I didn’t like that you were deceiving and using innocent women, but I thought you guys were desperate, and the intention was at least somewhat good, so I decided to leave it alone. But I told you not to touch Heesu. I even went to the trouble of printing out a picture and giving it to you guys to tell you not to touch her, not even by mistake. Don’t you remember? I, who hate being involved with you guys and hate being bothered, went that far. But you, the ringleader, of all people, touched Heesu? Why?! Why in the world……!”
“What do you mean, good intention?”
Izzen suddenly cut him off with a serious expression.
“It was by no means a good intention. It was a wickedly and cunningly evil scheme. Even you, Lord Jaeha, should refrain from degrading my scheme with such a phrase.”
“What are you even saying, you crazy bastard.”
“Cough!”
Jaeha, who was about to slam Izzen’s head against the wall again in frustration, soon shuddered and threw him onto the floor. He knew he was crazy to begin with, but seeing him say such crazy things even in his current state, all his motivation to beat him disappeared. He felt a crazy feeling as if some kind of madness would transfer to him if he hit him any more.
“Ugh, you’re crazy…….”
“Cough! Ckk-cough! Cough!”
So instead of beating him, Jaeha looked down at Izzen with an expression full of contempt and stepped on his back. He pressed down hard with his foot. With each step, Izzen writhed and screamed.
