Chapter 121
F**k. This is driving me insane, seriously.
The demon writhed at the scent of Heesu coming from the other side of the wall. Having just come out of the shower, the warm, ripened female scent, sweet and mixed with the smell of blood, was wafting towards him.
For a male in his prime, this situation was nothing short of torture.
He tried everything alone—covering his nose, tearing at his hair, and burying his face in his blanket—but it was no use. The demon groaned and clutched his head.
At that time, the relationship between Heesu and the demon was at its worst. The demon, whose nerves were on edge, would get angry whenever he saw Heesu, who was unaware and unguarded despite giving off such a delicious and alluring scent. He resented her for being so innocent and not realizing how much he was suffering, and so he would unintentionally spew out harsh words. He knew it was just pointless venting, but he did it anyway.
‘Can’t you be a little nicer to your sister?’
Then, the young Jaeha would speak up without fail. The demon glared into the air with bloodshot eyes and threw whatever object he could grab.
F**k, you should be thankful I’m not raping you.
The demon let out a ragged breath. If he lost control for a moment, he felt like he would break into the next room, pin Heesu down, and force his desire into her wet, delicious-looking, bloody place.
Lately, he had only been thinking those thoughts. He had only been dreaming those dreams. He would m********e with those thoughts and have wet dreams with those dreams. He really felt like he was going to go crazy.
Family love was more f****d up than the demon had thought. He couldn’t leave Heesu’s side because of family love, but he couldn’t violate her because of family love either. What a f****d up situation.
Nevertheless, the demon endured. He did his best to be a good son and hung on with all his might as a member of the family. Somehow, he managed to endure for several years.
He still bickered with Heesu whenever he saw her, but he was still secretly hovering around, protecting her. He didn’t intend to do this for the rest of his life, but he wanted to protect her for as long as he could.
At some point, the list of people he took care of began to include guys who tried to approach Heesu romantically. He didn’t necessarily want to stop Heesu from dating, but the guys were completely unworthy.
At the very least, they should be as handsome as him so that it wouldn’t be embarrassing to stand next to Heesu, as capable as him to support her for the rest of her life, and as good at fighting as him to protect her as well as he could, and therefore… be able to cherish Heesu forever as much as he could…….
……F**k, what am I doing right now?
It was only after the list of people he took care of went over ten that the demon felt a sense of disillusionment.
Feeling as if his legs had given out, the demon leaned against the wall and squatted down, burying his head between his knees. The weather, which had recently started to get warmer, felt annoying. He felt lightheaded, as if he had heatstroke.
……Since when?
The demon thought. He recalled that day, long ago.
The demon always remembered that day, the day he first met Heesu, vividly.
As soon as he saw Heesu, he could feel the affection the young Jaeha had for her. That emotion was pure, innocent, and beautiful. He truly cherished and loved his sister and wanted to protect her.
On the other hand, the affection he had was dirty and filthy. He cherished her but wanted to violate her, wanted to protect her but wanted to possess her. He wanted to love her as a sibling, but he was dying to love her as a female.
That pure, clear emotion was now a mess, all mixed up with black desires. He had wanted to give her the innocent and beautiful thing that Jaeha had, but it had become tainted.
Since when on earth?
“Jaeha.”
The demon called that name for the first time in a long while. He thought Jaeha might not answer since he hadn’t spoken much lately, but Jaeha answered right away.
‘Yeah.’
“Did you cry back then?”
‘When?’
“When you met Heesu again.”
‘…….’
After a moment’s hesitation, Jaeha answered.
‘No.’
“I see…….”
The demon laughed in a dejected way.
It was from the very beginning.
He had fallen for that ugly potato-like face, but he was told to live his life as a younger brother.
So he cried. Submerged in a mix of emotions, he cried for a long time without knowing why.
It was the first time in his life he had ever felt such a f****d up and heartbreaking feeling.
