“Up until now, Izzen covered all the financial aspects. So if we’re left without Izzen, a problem arises with money…….”
“Holy s**t.”
An unexpected problem arose, and Heesu’s expression became bewildered, her mouth agape.
“Money…… gone? Completely gone?”
“Yes. In my case, I always got a card from Izzen whenever I needed money for groceries, so I don’t have a single penny…….”
“How much…… is our normal living expense? Is it, like, a lot?”
“I was originally a demon, so I’m not very familiar with prices in the human world…… but it doesn’t seem like a small amount at all.”
“How much is it?”
“Well…… the rent for this house alone is eight hundred thousand won.”
A shocked Heesu jumped up and screamed.
“That’s f*****g expensive! This was a rental?!”
“Yes. I vaguely recall him mentioning he signed a contract through a real estate agency…….”
“Why is it so pointlessly realistic only in this one aspect?! Couldn’t you have just bought it or gone with a full deposit lease?!”
Heesu tore at her hair in anguish.
She had been trying to draw a happy future on her own canvas, but it felt like someone had grabbed her by the collar and thrown her into the cesspool of reality. She could vividly see the beautiful picture she was coloring being smeared with filthy water from the cesspool, a miserable mess.
“Oh, this is crazy…….”
The anguished Heesu lifted her head and slowly looked around.
Then, the handsome men were no longer what she saw. Instead, her eyes landed on a bunch of useless people who had no nationality, no citizenship, and no resident registration, making them no different from illegal immigrants. Of course, they would have no qualifications, career experience, or skills they had built up. Thinking that, their dazzling beauty instantly seemed to lose its luster. What good was it if they were all pretty, cool, and handsome? They had no ability to earn money…….
At least Violen, who was concerned about reality, was the better of the bunch. The others were looking at Heesu innocently with expressions that seemed to ask, ‘Money? What’s that? Is it edible?’ They didn’t seem to grasp the seriousness of the conversation the two of them were having.
Their gazes made Heesu’s head throb. In an instant, she felt like she had become the head of a household, responsible for a huge, immature family she had to feed.
Heesu’s mind was flooded with a dramatic and tumultuous vision of her future.
‘First, since I don’t have the money for rent right now, I have to get out of this mansion. So where do I go? My studio apartment? Will all these big bodies fit in that small space? Even if we somehow manage to squeeze in, how do I explain the situation if my parents suddenly come over? Should I look for another place? But if I find another place, the rent…….’
As her thoughts reached that point, Heesu’s head slumped down as if she had lost all her energy, and she slammed it onto the table. The forehead that hit the table hurt, but she didn’t even have the leisure to think about it right now.
‘No, even if I somehow find a house, what about after that? To live with them, I need living expenses. Even if I quit college and get a job right away, how much would a high school graduate’s starting salary be? In this day and age where even highly qualified people have a hard time finding a job……. Okay, let’s say I somehow find a job and manage to feed them. After that, I’ll probably spend every penny I earn like pouring water into a leaky pot, unable to save anything, and just live a difficult life…….’
Suddenly, something welled up inside Heesu and she gasped. The future unfolding in her mind finally took a turn for the worst.

Heesu, who had suddenly become so pained and sad, let out a scream and repeatedly slammed her head on the table. Startled, the demons rushed over to her.

Hearing their voices, Heesu just slumped on the table and sobbed.

Heesu, who was half out of her mind from the unexpected worries and the burden of the future, babbled nonsense and continued to sob. She felt like she was going insane.
“Don’t worry so much. There will never be a time when you alone have to take responsibility for all of us.”
Violen, who was standing beside her, grabbed Heesu’s trembling shoulder and said firmly.
“Really?”
At his words, Heesu looked at him as if she were clutching at a straw.
Thanks to him, she felt a little reassured, but as soon as she met his gaze, her worries came rushing back. The only one among them who worried about reality and said logical things, just happened to have the most youthful face, no matter how she looked at him. So much so that she would be lucky if he wasn’t mistaken for a runaway looking for work.
